the FZ6 gearbox
is a little crotch ity.
Throw in some easy speed shifting. Before long you won`t even notice them sliding in.
It takes a little time to get used to each machine.
another consideration
Take a test ride on one of the 250 or 300 class motor SCOOTERS.
These things are a joy to ride and they will fly.
No kidding.
I`m thinking about buying a Kymco People GT300i for myself.
My wife has an Aprilia Scarabeo 200 and loves it.
Yesterday I was at Harbor Freight and saw a motorcycle tire bead breaker.
It was on the small side and cost $20..
Wondering if anyone here has used one and if it works ok?.
They also had a motorcycle tire balance r for $49..
Was wondering about it also.
I think I can make a balance r on the...
Funny this question came up.
I was riding in the mountains yesterday. Stopped at a motorcycle hangout.
I was sitting on the porch when a guy pulls up in front of me riding a Zuk 1000.
The rims on his black and orange bike looked like the were chrome.
I ask if they were chrome.
He said the...
The numbers for both seem too low to me.
A clean `08 FZ6 with reasonably low mileage in my area would go in the $4300-$4700 range.
The FZ1 about $800-$1200 more, depending on mileage and condition.
Neither are easy to find.
If you can find a clean low mileage FZ1 for $4100, you better jump on it.
Re: you have a right to be pis***
Legal or not. It is underhanded and unethical.
I have done work for people through the years and have never, I mean never jacked the price on someone.
It is a shame we don`t have an online review forum so these shops can be exposed for what they are so...
you have a right to be pis***
That is highway robbery.
Your experience is my biggest concern about owning a motor cycle or motor scooter.
The shops in my area are rip off artist.
They quote a price for a job, then when you go to pick up your bike, they jack the price some more.
They...
Yamaha annoys me
Yes Yamaha.
Why?.
They are making bad decisions concerning their products.
Two examples:
1 They ruined the V-Max.
2 They quit making the FZ6.
Two very good bikes.
As far as the FZ6 is concerned, it could use gear selector light on the instrument panel. I would`t...
5spoke
Glad you are ok and got your bike home.
Most take a slide/spill if they ride long enough.
What do you think was the main reason you lost it?
Fatigue, lost concentration, or entering a curve too fast?.
I don`t take pleasure in other peoples misfortune but, this is almost funny.
Guy showing his butt and then bust his butt.
A guy passed me on a very, very tight mountain curve not long ago.
I thought afterward, if he had clipped and wrecked me, if I was able, I would come up swinging.
And i`m...
I really like the Z1000.
Some of the guys I used to ride with threw off on Kaw.. Said they were not dependable.
Wish I knew the truth about the newer models and the Z1000 in particular.
Yes, I like it.
Ha, we all know that feeling
You have chosen a good bike.
Take your time and learn your machine. It will probably take six months to really get use to it.
Don`t ride too fast especially going into curves.
Ride safe and live to ride another day.
Congratulations on your new bike.
