Thanks everybody for the good words.
I try to ride as much as possible, but work really makes it difficult.
I actually rode my bike to work that day, and was unable to ride it home because of the pain and drugs, so they actually brought it into the branch.
The weight loss does make it...
I wish man. it's pretty boring.
if anyone doesn't believe me here's a video

So it's been a long time since I've been on this forum, maybe 6 months but it feels like years.
This year has been pretty nuts for me, losing 120 pounds, then almost dying driving off a cliff and rolling over in an armored truck.
hows everyone else been?

To everyone else, I can't remember the inseam(doesn't say on the pants) but it's normal.
They are HT II Overpants and I believe they don't make them anymore so you'll have a hard time finding them online.
I'm selling my pair of FirstGear Textile Sport Touring Overpants, size 46". They're a little oversized to wear over your street clothes.
I've worn them maybe 5 times on the road but I now wear 38" pants so they just fall down.
Make me an offer.
Instead of paying a dealer/shop, I did the work myself.
For about $500, I not only adjusted my valves, but replaced the cam chain, tensioner, guides, and a brand new complete clutch.
It was a great learning experience and although frustrating at times, I think everybody should know how to work...
I bought a shim kit for $75, only used 3 shims and I really needed more of that same size.
If you can go with your bike apart for a little bit, find out what you need then buy them individually.
Replacing the valve cover is a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS. I ended up reusing my old one and it took me...
C is for California, because all other 49 states have the same bike whereas California has extra emissions equipment(mainly a carbon canister/evaporator for fuel fumes) and for some reason the fuel tank has less capacity. Stupid commie hippies.
Other than that, all of the parts(minus...
+1 for EBC sintered pads and stainless steel lines. Also new fluid.
If you have a stock 2005 with the 2 piston calipers, you might want to think about R6 forks/brakes or 2007+ FZ6 forks/brakes, which are 4 piston and a whole lot better.
Mine do the same exact thing. This is what happens if you wire them up the easiest way. I would like to get those relays from customled though to make them even.
Once I installed the stebel airhorn I've never ever wanted to go back.
It is plenty loud enough for cars to hear on the freeway if they're close to you, and it's really loud in town.
Perfect for scaring the crap out of girls in spandex on the sidewalk.
After having my bike apart for 2 months, it's finally running again.
I've replaced the cam chain, guides, tensioner, adjusted the valves, and replaced the clutch with a Barnett kit.
It runs better than the day I bought it! Took it out for a spirited 80 mile ride through the mountains and...
+1
Liquid cooling doesn't do much good when the bikes off!
I've had my bike hit 5 bars once, and it dropped down to 3 by idling in a shaded area. Would've taken twice as long with the bike off.
You shouldn't need to drain the oil, just keep the bike on its sidestand.
You will need a new metal gasket, and also to clean the surfaces before you remount it.
You might be able to get away with just RTV or permatex on the old gasket, but why risk it?
It's not a direct swap because of the different style swingarms used on the R6 vs. the FZ6.
But it has been done, and also with R1 shocks.
Best thing would be to just g et an aftermarket shock designed for the FZ6.
Fact: These engines are noisy. The injectors and valvetrain make a lot of noise, as do most if not all inline four engines. My brand new honda is NOISY as hell, but that's normal.
Yes, be VERY careful when spraying water on your bike.
I know someone a while back used a pressure washer and had to clean and dry every electrical connector on the bike. You shouldn't use anything more than light spraying and keep it to parts where theres not much to screw up.
If you're still looking for one I have one, only damage is the upper left mount tab is broken off, but it can be epoxied and doesn't affect the integrity of it. $75+shipping
