My Bandit 400 had a stock CBR 600 undertail pipe fitted to it. The welds in the pipe to make it fit weren't exactly pretty, and the heat shields attached to it were ok. That being said, I loved perplexing people with my decal-less bike that did not look to be a 1991 year model at all...

I find myself sitting on the more forward portion but not quite far enough to grind the ole tank. The seat is more narrow there and probably contributes to butt fatigue, but I like the overall feel of the bike better there. That may come from a couple years spent on a dirtbike. It just feels...

The other day at work a group of riders showed up. Two of which were in full Hi Viz Dayglow gear. Not a stitch of protective crash gear tho. Helmets and the occasional pair of gloves in a group of approx 10. I just don't get it. I know they want to be seen, but yeah. I have a hard time...

I have had my set of Diablo Stradas on for about 4k miles. I only have stock tires to compare them to and I am pleased. When I bought my Bandit she had Pilots on her. I rode them way past where I should have. I didn't have any issues with the tires tho.

Love the views of the mountains. Living in the Southern Appalachians I'm no stranger to mountains, but those make the ones around here look like hills :)

1991 Bandit 400 (my first bike) my ass hated the bike, but I loved it for what it was. Lots of fun, just what I needed for a beginner bike. We all know about the FZ6, LOVE it. Others I have ridden: 2006 R6s - too much fun for me :) 2007 919 - very nice bike...smooth and predictable...

My dad has an 07 919. I too noticed the difference in engine braking btwn the two bikes. I like it myself. Not that I dislike the 919. It's just a difference btwn the two bikes. Just my 2cp. Both bikes have a lot more engine braking than his 1980 CB750. :D
