Considering buying an Fz6

Yes it's all stock except for the turn signals which is great and it still has the original owners tool kit. Looking forward to contribute back!

Congratulations! Looks good except for that small cosmetic. You'll have is spiffed in no time! :)

Re: Am I looking at a good deal? (2004 FZ6)

20k miles is before the first real important maintenance interval when the valve check is done, so I wouldn't have many worries about the engine unless I heard odd noises.

Just to clarify, the scheduled valve check is 26,600 miles, NOT 20,000 miles..

Obviously, if their sloppy noisy, it doesn't hurt to check them earlier...

For $2,000 that's a heck of a bike especially since prices in CA are inflated above other places. My 2006 model is at 25,000 miles and runs the same as it did at 1,000 miles! Do the maintenance and she'll run well for another 50,000!

Yeah California is crazy! I paid the same $2000 for my 2006 GS500F a year ago in May and all the other GS500F were hundreds above that. The other cheapest FZ6 I saw on craigslist was 3,000 from a private seller with 55,000 miles and a full set of GIVI cases. It was probably a good deal as well but then all the other ones were $3,500+.

I see posters from other parts of the country and all I can say is wow. I'd love to have their prices haha.
