Sunday - August 5th NJ/PA ride

Guys,

Hate to be last minute, but I will no longer be able to make it on Sunday. I am actually meeting with another forum member tomorrow morning to sell my fizzer. Very sad to let her go, and praying I dont regret this decision, but I am picking up a Speed Triple on Monday to replace her.

Have fun guys, and make sure to take pics! Just cuz I am letting go of the fizzer doesnt mean I wont stay on the boards..I love it here!

I'm not going to read 11 pages so forgive me if it's been mentioned. But if you guys are riding in the NJ/PA/ NY area, take a ride up route 30 through Margaretville, NY. It's North of Port Jervis. There is a ton of good riding up that way.

i was there a few weeks ago coming back from the catskills. that is a very nice evenly paved road. nice sweeps! but i doubt we're hitting that road way too far

Replied to PM with #. Hope to see you and your ST on one of the group rides soon!

It's going to be another hot one tomorrow.. with a chance of rain. So.. bring your rain gear if you've got it! Bring water and Gatorade and some snacks too.

I left home today a few min after 12(noon) and got to Joes house a lil after 6pm. I made 1 stop for fuel, 1 stop for lunch, and then a short stop at a prearanged meetup spot. It was a pretty good ride and I even took a few pics while riding :) getting an early start on tomorrow to meetup with Andrew (armstrong89z) before heading on to the group meetup spot.

So I left at noon today, who left earlier? LOL

What Garrett didnt tell you......
We made a stop at the store to get stuff for bbq, "Hey Joe, hate to put a damper on your day but you have a nail in your back (NEW) tire."
AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!
Well, it turns out to be a staple. With a little tlc, we got it out and added Slime for good measure. New tire on order....Katie's gonna kill me!
:BLAA:

Hey all,

I apologize for having to split early. After waiting on the side of the road for awhile, I started to overheat. Had to get moving or else I was going to be in trouble. Groups were huge today. I hope the lost riders found their way and everyone eventually made it to where they were supposed to be.

Getting some better summer gear is at the top of my list now.

agreed, the group was a bit big today so we split into 2 but even that wasn't good enough. To make matters worse one of the Queens guys(Edfz6, Edgar I think) who met us at our starting point in NY went down. I only met him today and he ended up going with Erci's group that continued on when we all split from that park. I feel awful and I hope he is ok. I hope one of you guys can post any info about his status. All I know was that he had an issue(I think he was ok) with his neck and he was taken to the hospital for precautions.

Yeah, edfz6 went down :(
When I got to the crash scene he was already in the ambulance. I spoke to EMT and she told me he is basically OK.. shoulder banged up, but he was complaining of neck pain and to be safe they would take him to the hospital and run some tests.

I tracked down where they took him (St.Luke's University), but they wouldn't give me any info, since I don't know his last name :(

He happened to go down in front of a guy who works on motorcycles, so he helped get the bike off the road, looked it and said he could fix it.. we have his info and the bike is in that house, in garage safe and sound. Hope we'll hear from Ed soon.. I don't have his number :(

Agreed the group was a bit big but it's good to see a good turnout. The homeowner where the rider went down works on motorcycles and has the bike in his garage. One of the other forum members has the house address.

Thanks for organizing this Erci!
