I have no toys like GPS or headset and don't care how far (just how many days so I can plan work.)

Excellent! I can visit with my first FZ6! Glad you're coming along!

What about Ernie? I think he's hooked on your FZ6 and I'm surprised he hasn't bought one yet!

I think so. Folks like Frednearboston, Segue, larkydozer, bulldog and others are active over there but don't seem to come here very often.

Ok... posted up the thread there. New England FZ6 Meet - Aug. 23rd/24th - Sportbikes.net so we'll see who responds and can make it. I edited most of it to be more generic but left the user names with a disclaimer that this is from another forum. Fred doesn't allow links out to other forums from SBN.

I missed a couple of the questions. I do have bike mounted GPS(Zumo 550) and GMRS via Autocom and Kenwood TK-3101.

Thanks Anthony! The reason for asking this is to have one or more with the GPS throughout the group. In case the group is split, one can lead them to the other. If we have radios and can all talk on a single channel, then all the better! It makes a group ride VERY cool with radios. For those that can just listen (speakers but no PTT on the bars) at least they know what the next move is or if a stop is planned.

Anyone else have GPS or a radio with helmet speakers?

Yeah, I saw a couple...I see one blue parked on Boylston often and also I saw a guy a motomart in Acton on Sat. I was told that he went cross country in it. It looks like a FZ6S1 model. He was busy talking to another guy and I needed to leave, so didn't talk to him.

I was at MotoMart on Saturday in my blue 05 FZ6, perhaps it was me?? I did go cross country on my bike, but it was the human powered kind I got this bike (motor) to go xcntry again but with far less pedaling!

He is definitely more excited about it than I am, which is saying a lot cuz I'm stoked! First, we have to convince my aunt/his wife that it is a good idea....I think we'll be waiting a long time.

More importantly, the orthopod says no biking until July - he just had knee surgery, sucks.

Everytime he PM'd me he said how great the bike was.

That would explain the knee brace then! So if he is ready in July then he'll be able to make the meet in August! Tell him we'd like to see him with the group!

Time for a bump to see who else is going to make the trip! We've got several more here in New England who have yet to give a yes or no. We're developing quite a list of riders here! So? Who else is going to make the trip?

Rob, please let us know, based on the confirmed member list, any information you discover about camping. If we need to gather funds from those commited to reserve the campsite(s) ahead of time, we should begin that now. Actually a good idea!

Please see the OP for informational updates. If you do not see your name on the list or wish to have it removed, please let me know here. Rob needs an ACCURATE count for camping!!! :thumbup: If you have any changes, again, let me know.

So long as Mother Nature cooperates, this should be a great weekend meet!
