First of all.....WOW! that's some bike...awesome job! am guessing it would be a real handful harnessing all that grunt through corners., am also guessing it's more about straight line grunt, and deliberate overkill!

Would definitely like to know more about the supercharger install...but most importantly, what you have done to the engine so that it copes with all that extra power, without blowing itself to smithereens!

Lastly, am also guessing it aint a daily commuter!

The motor is far from stock. forged pistons bored out to 636cc. falicon con rods with arp bolts, high lift cam, ported and polished head for good measure. standard crank. They are actually a very robust engine from the r6. On a standard engine you can run 140whp on standard internals. The swingarm is metmachex built over here in sunny old England. The bottle on the passenger footrest is an oil catch tank/breather, On the other pass foot rest is the 2lb nos bottle. Gonna try and get some more photos up here with some close ups too. Oh theres a Farndon crank being built as we speak made out of billet.

No far from a daily commuter mate. never was one. I bought it new and have built it ever since. It can be a handful if you dont respect it. You can get it on the back wheel every gear if you want. awesome power. and the blower sounds cool when your giving it some. The bike is actually quite a good handler and you can give it some round corners. shown some r1 lads a thing or two haha

Very cool, the guts to the motor sound spot on. Which piston kit did you use, J&E? Also which cam?

I've wanted to do a big bore kit and cam but finding any info is all but impossible.

Thanks!

Oh, and welcome. :welcome:

Hi mate have a look on google for TTS Performance. They do big bore kits. Just something to look at. Cheers

how much with just a big more kit give you for returns? i might be interested in this. might be a good way to get some more grunt out of the engine.

Hmmmm.... good point, am thinking that the major advantage would be just that...more grunt / torque, hopefully lower down the rev range.

can we simply use the R6 piston kits?

I'm 99.9999% sure, I think. The web site that Fighter Boy pointed us to uses J&E pistons and Web Cams. I looked on Web Cam's web site and didn't see anything but degree gears for the R6, but that doesn't mean they didn't custom grind up a set for the FZ6.

Doubtful. The R6 pistons would increase the compression, and what you're after for a bike like this is lower compression.
