Hey Wolfman, are you interested in getting together for a ride?

Man that was nice.....a couple spots were actualy cold:cheer::D Like where I stopped to drink my iced coffee:thumbup:.

The road was still very warm and when I stopped to wait for Wolfman's phone call the rubber was nearly dripping off the tires:rockon:. Last but not least...no traffic...lol.

I did manage to give a Koala a bit of a fright. I don't think he liked the bright light or the exhaust note.......hmph. Critic:Flip:.

Time for a nap...lol:D

Cheers
Mike

AAAAW! C'MON! I was just sitting here thinking the roads had probably dried out enough to go for a bit of a flog and reached over to grab my draggin's and what do I hear outside. Cat's and Dog's! That's what.

Adelaide.....stinking hot one day......raining the next:spank::spank::spank::(

Yippee!

Nope! Those suckers are sitting on the counter at the workshop! :spank:

Anyway, i am home now, and yes, i got absolutely drenched....hammered down all the way home!!! Only part of me that was dry when i got home was my head, and my feet....for some reason i wore my Waterproof Falco boots tonight....dunno why, cause i have not worn them for about a year!!!

Still, a quick 5 minute wipe down of the bike, and it does'nt look too bad!!!!

Well tonight i finally got free of my kids for at 1 day...so it was time to go for a ride....contact Mikey...You coming? Yes...see you soon!

An hour later, we have done about 5 laps of Eagle's....

About an hour and a half later, we are sitting in Vili's Cafe...feeling morbidly stuffed!!!! Pie & Chips with heaps of Gravy, and marty sauce.....washed down with good ol farmers union iced coffee...

I even made room for a Chocolate Eclair, and a bottle of coke!

Great ride, on a surprisingly nice evening.....decent tucker....great company...

Cheers, Mikey...thanks for keeping the "Night Riders" tradition alive!

Took the bike to work today. Came home via the hills:cheer:.

All good, right up to the point where, in one of the darkest bits of road imaginable with some sweet bends, I was nailing it with the passing switch depressed for maximum light at which point the extra globe of the new headlights slowly cooked the headlight fuse....lol....mid corner:eek:. Get really friendly with a duck in a romantic fashion I hate that...lol.

Because the dash lights stay on, not only are they in your face but they reflect off your face onto the inside of your visor further reducing vis....lol.

Just remember if this happens to you, that if you flip up your visor, no matter how clean it is, you will see better. This is not my first time lightless, but it's the first time in the twistys...lol.

Needless to say the fuse is now a higher rating...LMAO:rolleyes::D

LOL...nope. it wasn't. It's fine with just the high beam on....2 globes.....hit the flasher and you're running all 3....It's like daylight...lol. Right up 'til the point at which the fuse blows.....I had my starboard peg scraping the deck when it happened too...lol.

Looks like I'll be heading out early tomorrow....gotta buy some new underdurps...lol.:D

Well i can vouch for the fact that it is pretty bloody dark on Upper Sturt Road in spots....armco is never far away either!

Yikes!

Hey mikey, thanks for getting my butt out on the bike today, what a great ride....short, but very much fun....tyres were working very well, bikes were doing exactly as we asked them to!

Can't wait for tomorrows ride....weather is going to be perfect, warm enough to get those hoops nice and sticky, not too hot to fry our butts!!!

Cheers mate. I had a top ride myself. The first time I've gotten the tires really warm on my Animal. You know they're warm when you park on the road and there's gravel hanging off them everywhere...lol.

I think I've mostly bonded now and just have the extra power to get used to.

The suspension is way better, and the bike is smoother and just as flickable as the stock FZ6.....then pulls like the proverbial freight train....lol.

Gotta say, you looked pretty damn at home on the fz1 today...and I must add, my "little" beast is just cherry ripe right now as well....suspension is now spot on, the conti's are working well, and for the first time in ages, I feel as one with my bike!!!!

But I am not silly enough to try and keep you on my sites in sports mode!!! That thing of yours, just pi$$es all over my bike, grunt wise!

Yep, it's been a long road since you got shmackoed, with your bike not being straight and confidence already low, on top of which your suspension had been "upgraded" and was horrible. There's no rebound damping in your forks and hard springs....eeew!

Looking very comfy today though...lol.

As for grunt....lol...I was listening to some video and it sounded like it was idling the whole time....this bike rocks my socks man:rockon::rockon::rockon:....it's a freaking madman:BLAA::BLAA::BLAA:

No, your a madman, the bike is just your perfect match! :Flip:

Nice ride tonight Mikey...bit short, and bit dissapointed Jimmy's Pizza Bar was shut, but hey, you get that...once again weather was perfect, and roads were in great nick.

Thanks for painfully slow and twistyless Esplanade run.
