I never realized what I saw last year on Oct in Europe was FZ8
I thought it was FZ1 for Euro...now I know I was wrong..no sticker either..
From slightly appearence look like FZ1...seems like FZ8 kind of similar with FZ1
The seat set up, side muffler and specially tank and sitting position...
Headlight is replica from most of Euro naked bike such as ducati, honda, aprilia
I got a chance to sit on it only and sitting position quite comfortable..
is has more wide flat steering like FZ1 bar....
Is very muscular looking with new generation face lift....:BLAA:

Here's an intelligent analysis of why the FZ8 probably won't be released in the USA:

Italian Sales Figures Show Insight into FZ8

Considering the comparatively lower sales of the Ducati Hypermotard 796 and BMW F800R in the US expected for 2010, and the relative affordability of bigger displacement motorcycles, the FZ8 just doesn’t make the same economic sense here in the States. Yamaha is clearly entering into a hot market for the EU, but it remains to be seen if we’ll see the FZ8 domestically. Time will tell on this one.

I guess I am more surprised that Suzuki isn't even in the top 20. The DL 650 comes in at 23, and the GSXR 750 at 34

I wonder how these numbers for all of Italy would stack up against , say, CA? Or possibly TX?

Yes, it's 800cc, a 'sleeved down' Fz 1000 motor apparently.
I like it, but is it a bigger Fz6 or a smaller Fz1 ??

Other thant the fact that WE WANT IT IN THE US, do you guys think it makes business sense? It's basically a FZ-1 with a (apparently) sleeved motor. Other than the name, it doesn't even look like an FZ6.

Oh, man, you guys, stop it! My face hurts from laughing...

I would buy the bike you described but I don't see that EVER happening.

That and you get free track days lessons from Rossi. :D

If it priced reasonable I think it would sell good.
But, only if they lost the sick gold accents.
Under seat exhaust would be much nicer.
Mini mini fairings look retro. Not good with a modern sport bike.
