Sorry to hear that. I have one set of silver V1's but you're probably looking for black, IIRC. I can try to get a run of 10 black going. sarawoot & u mean you're already 20% there. Get 8 more people and I'll start collecting money and put in the order.

Actually, I have an '05, so silver is perfect!

PM me your Paypal and a price inc international shipping and I'll deposit immediately.

Cheers,
Rick

sorry to hear about the drop

hope your ok

Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner and it works every time !

I'm fine, the gear did its job! My bike had scratches on the lower fairing and somehow the repair bill (insured) is $6500! (+ my $1000 gear cover, and $2000 accessories!)

Problem is the fairing had to come from the UK and they've had it for 8 weeks!

By any chance does anyone have a good suggestion for where to find a rod extension

I have seen them in hardware stores and anywhere that sells threaded rod should have them.

I still have one, so if you cant get one locally pm your address to me and I'll chuck it in the mail,
let me know
cheers

Got my pivot bolt today and a new clutch cable.
Will get the bolts tomorrow and weather permitting I'm going to do the install.

Adrian, i'm just wondering if extending the shifter rod is essential?
I've not looked at the shifter yet and I'm a little concerned to add another part that has potential to move into the mechanism. If its not essential I'm going to stick with as few parts as possible.

Thanks to everyone how has innovated and contributed to make this mod brilliant.

Go back and look at my pictorial very carefully.

All you need to do this linkage flip mod is the pivot joint and nut you have pictured.

This mod is so simple that's the beauty of it. I'm an engineer and whenever I do something I look for the most simple solution or the k.i.s.s. philosophy "keep it simple stupid".

Again this mod is extremely simple...disassemble, drill and punch out old joint, install new joint with nut using loctite and reassemble as seen in my pictorial.

Everything lines up perfect no need to extended or add any additional parts besides the new joint.

I don't think the extension is necessary it just puts the linkage further up into the pocket of the engine it's a visual thing for me

Thanks for the response, I did look at your excellent how to and was just double checking as I am also an advocate of the K.I.S.S principles.

I will let you all know how it goes.

yeah I agree the install doesn't need the extension but I had been thinking the rearward a movement of the rear set might benefit from adding length to the shaft

so I put it altogether and thought it a bit ugly so did the shrink wrap and then when I fitted it to the gearbox shaft during install realised that it was maybe overkill but I as it was already wrapped and loctited I kept it

My friend and I will both buy a set of the black setback plates!

That makes 4 of us now I believe...

We need 6 more people interested for OSO2K to get em made.

Track season is here, you know you want some!!
