FZ6 Drag Racing Timeslips

I took my bike out for the first time ever to the strip. Keep in mind, ive never practiced launching the bike.

other two times were 13.25 and 13.27. bogged launches on the last one. i was pretty much just rolling off the line. a few friends of mine say the stock tires should allow a 1.9-2.0 60' time. if thats the case, i would probably be hitting mid to low 12's on the bike (its 100% stock, in arizona, about 1000 ft above sea level)

Anybody else got anytimeslips?

Its fun man. I had a blast doing it.

I have some updated info though.

I have read that I should just pin the throttle and modulate with the clutch slip to keep the nose down. I need to practice that on the dirt bike or something other than my expensive street bike.

I think he is referring to trying to launch at a low rpm. that makes the bike lurch forward then bog on the line.

I've practiced launching, I can get out of the hole pretty quick, sometimes leaving a nice little darky with the front tire just hovering off the tarmac. I really want to go to a drag strip and see what my ETs would be. they say a stock FZ6 can pull 11.30 in the 1/4 at 119MPH. I'd like to hit high 11s
