I did a few times during the summer cuz I live close to Bandimere Speedway and they let you get on the track every wednesday night. So here's the best time I ever had with a completely stock bike.

Seems like we could use a Drag Strip Forum by the number of threads we have on this subject. Here's was my post.

How high of rpms do you have the bike reved during launch?

I launch at W.O.T. with the rev limiter bumpin....I would not recomend you try this though i've been riding for 25 years and If you don't know what your doing with your body posistion and clutch engagement your bike will pitch you off quick, stand straight up and stop when it hits something solid, fishtail like crazy and slam to the ground,or shoot out from under you and you slam face down on the pavement, or drag you along behind it..... :BLAA:  :D

Yeah I never dump the clutch especially since I've never had any practice with doing it. Best way I've found is to hold around 3,000 RPMs so you can get the engine going pretty quick.
