    front end slide....recoverable?

I can say they are both very distinctive and recoverable. I inadvertently slid the front wheel in a corner (90 degree) on the way home from the grocery store. Wasn't going super fast, but tires were cold and there was some loose salt on the road. Very nearly low sided. Still not sure...

how much louder is two brothers exhaust?

I have ridden the TB exhaust for 2 years now, and my neighbor has TB on his R6. At idle / low RPM, you will hear a low rumble just loud enough rumble through the house. We live in an apt where my bedroom is 30-40 feet (10 meters) from the drive. I can hear his R6 when he rides by, but if he...

    Gear security system

Sounds like you missed a great opportunity to justify the purchase a new firearm. :) Here in the US, all new firearms are required by law to come with a gun lock. :america:

Review: Joe Rocket CE Rated Back Armor

Now I have a few more miles on the new back pad, I thought I would update my review. It feels like the new back pad conforms more to my back. I am not sure I like this. I think it will be very 'sticky' in the summer. Kinda like when you are sweating and your shirt sticks to your back...I...

    Questions about used FZ6

My rule of thumb... If I am looking to purchase something I don't NEED and I get the feeling they are lying to me, I walk away. Here's why. If they are, I'll be irritated about that for a long time to come. I have plenty to be irritated about already. Also, if they lied / exaggerated the...

planning on making a cafe racer... looking to bounce some ideas/get some input

Sounds like a fun project. I am torn here. I think there is a lot to be said about restoring to it's near original status. That would be cool to ride around on a 'new' 1980 Honda. Very classic. However, your inspirational pics are also very cool. Keep us posted.

Latest Runaway Toyota Prius a LOAD?

Sounds like a very good reason to ride instead of drive. Mr Sikes, you need a motorcycle.

Review: Joe Rocket CE Rated Back Armor

So, I just took it out for a 5 minute ride to test my new Puig Racing windscreen (review coming), and I love the new armor. It is more pliable that stock, so the jacket seems to move with your body more. ...but all the above raving could be me trying to feel good about spending another $80...

Review: Joe Rocket CE Rated Back Armor

I just purchased the Joe Rocket CE Rated back armor from Kneedraggers.com. I think it was around $80. I ordered it Sunday March 14, 2010 around noon eastern and it arrived at 4.30pm Wednesday March 17. I bought it to replace the stock back armor in my Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket (Large). I...

How would you define a "good" rider?

Wonder if it has to do with how someone drives. If someone has practiced that since they started driving, would it not make sense they transfer that skill to riding.

    Mod for Aggressive Riding Position

I am a short little guy, so my 'aggressive' riding position is my lazy position. When I lay on the tank and tuck my elbows in they just naturally rest on my knees. Great for those long straight stretches of interstate. :)

    Penny Tech Panniers (saddlebags)

I like the idea. I can't wait to see the final pics. I have been torn about the idea of saddlebags / top racks. Backpacks are annoying, and my cargo net (with plastic hooks) scratches my grab handles. ...And i don't have anywhere to store jacket / textile pants on summer days. ...very...

Best GPS, Mount & Wiring Set Up

As for the mount, I like this one... http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-mods/18278-my-new-ingenious-sat-nav-mount.html I plan to do that one this summer. Ooh...and the ball type mount. I am going to drill a hole in mine and put a 1/2" screw through it as a set screw. Should not...

Best GPS, Mount & Wiring Set Up

I have used a variety of GPS units. I will ramble a bit...maybe some of it will be useful... Many seem to be 'multi functional'. However, all I have seen seem to be slanted very hard to one function. From my experience the function of a car GPS and motorcycle GPS are not much different. I...
