I'm in Russellville, AR. A few hours of northwest of you. I tend to ride southwest and north of my area, but don't hardly venture towards your neck of the woods. If you're ever in the area, we might hook up for a ride up the pig trail or maybe over to Mt. Magazine.
I have the CRG Shorty levers for the clutch and brake side. I do feel like they're smoother and give a little better feel for the friction zone, plus they are much more adjustable, but I don't feel like the pull is any easier. It's not any harder to pull the lever in, I just don't want you to...
Totally agree. The Ram looks sick! Already blacked out my FZ, and I'd love to black out my truck, but it's white and it would take all kinds of money to get it like I would want.
I just bought this wireless adapter since the one in my work laptop pooped out. (Already tried replacing the internal adapter with 4 different ones, so I'm assuming the motherboard has an issue with that connection.)
I also just ordered some new shoes since the ones I'm wearing have a hole...
It's been confirmed by this thread that 2009 R6 wheels will fit onto our beloved FZ6, so fitting the Marchesinis shouldn't be a problem. Please be sure to post pics if you end up installing them!
Bleh, sucks having to back to MI to get the license. It's almost too easy to get in Arkansas.
Going to school at the U of A? I took a few classes up there, my older sister and husband both graduated from there, and my little sister is starting school up there next spring.
Good luck...
:welcome: to the forum. Great resource for anything and everything FZ6 related. As said before, lots of different options for adjustability on the good ole FZ. Setback plates, ottimoto rearsets, rizoma rearsets, and different pegs are a few different options you have.
Where are you...
Re: Best Exhaust Ever! Halfway Installed...
Awesome! Be sure to post pics of the finished project; I'd love to see what the ole FZ looks like with a single undertail exhaust.
I got my handlebar risers from ebay. The risers I have just put the handlebars up 1.2" higher, but they aren't "barbacks", so they don't move the handlebars any closer to you horizontally. They are better for taller people.
I found this listing on ebay, which is exactly what I have.
I have these gloves and they've been pretty awesome. Although, I don't have a very long ride to work, and it's not like I've been riding much in the cold now that I bought the new truck. Good thing it's warmed up a little around here so I've been able to ride it a few times in the past few weeks.
I have the DDM tuning HIDs in my bike and they are really good, only problem is that they don't come with a projector housing, it's just the bulbs. To have true HIDs, you'll need the projector housings, bulbs, and ballasts.
So, I bought a new (to me) truck a few months ago and it's been a pretty good vehicle. It's an 06 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 4.3 V6. I got a pretty good deal on it, and I'll be using it to move in a few months and maybe to haul the bike somewhere and have an awesome ride (possibly to Deal's...
07-09 FZs have 4 pot calipers instead of the older 2 pot calipers that came with the 04-06 models. Also, the newer generation FZs don't have any issues with the TPS, which was recalled for the 04-05 FZ6s. Nothing really specific to look for on these bikes, other than the general signs of wear...
That looks awesome! I've been curious as to what the FZ16 headlight looks like on a black FZ6.
Hope you figure out the weird blinker issue! I bet it turns out to be something easy like a crimped wire.
