Hmmmm when I was in Cali, lane splitting is ok and the link says lane splitting is "Not referenced in Administrative Code or Statutes". So because there is no reference, does that mean it's legal? I ask because according to the link, Idaho says the same thing.
Ideas?
Thanks for all the replies!
I did some research and the helmet I was talking about is the X-11 which, from my understanding, is top of the line for Shoei. I was looking on Price411 and found the rf-1000 for about $350. I think what I will do is try on the rf-1000 before I make my...
So I was just looking at a Shoei (spelling?) today and I'm having a hard time with the price. I talked to the guy and he said he would give me the helmet ($539.99+tax) and mirrored visor (69.99+tax) for $597 out the door with 10% military discount on each item. It's very tempting because having...
+1 My thoughts exactly. I feel this is the best way to go because it is very easy to do and doesn't take long. It's cheap, effective and get's the job done.
Cheapest-- Duct tape and super glue:D
------I read further, lol, and realized this won't work! Just a simple spot weld and you...
That is almost the same helmet I have right now. I would recommend getting a non-flip version unless you like wind noise. When I first got mine it was quiet because it was new but wasn't long before it got loud. You don't realize how loud it gets after a while because you get used to it. I get so...

I have 20 tickets to the Indy Grand Prix for the Grand-Am Armed Forces 250 in Sonoma, CA for today, August 23, 2008 at the Infineon Raceway. These were donated to the MWR (Military Welfare and Recreation) and I would like to put them to use and offer them to...
:Im With Stupid: (The only arrow pointing up....sorry)
I do the same but use my clutch when I'm just tooling around or running errands. I love shifting and going clutchless takes all the fun away.
Just replaced the front not too long ago with 11,500 miles on it. I usually get between 6000-9000 miles for the rear, depending on my riding of course. As a rule of thumb for me, I do two rears for every front unless either needs replaced sooner.
For those with over 9k on the rear...:tard...
I recommend getting them ASAP as well. I went down not too long ago and the only damage on the bike was the frame slider itself.
WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!!
Reading about all the toys and parts makes me all excited, and they're not even for me!! I'm sure it will be a blast to spend time putting everything together, at least it always is for me. On most projects, just tearing something apart and putting it back together is 90% of the fun! The other...
As mentioned before, it's awesome to try new things but I would have to agree that is doesn't look right. The only way to really describe it is like seeing a big 4-wheel drive trucked slammed to about 3 inches off the ground.
Now, is that a shorter rear swing arm? It may be the pic but it...
+1
I would be weary of the engine damage. Be sure to scrutinize and triple check. If just the cover is damaged and the rest looks good around it then you should be in the clear. The rest is just cosmetic and wouldn't worry too much about it. You can't beat the price and mileage and still...
After reading all the post's I have to laugh! As mentioned, I'm POSITIVE that we have all been there! Also, after reading it reminded me of my close call.
Was a nice sunny day, long straight road (roughly 3 miles), just got the FZ a few months back and no traffic. I grabbed a...
I turn 25 today! Woohoo! Now my insurance goes down. All I have to look forward to now is 55 for the senior citizen discount! :D Somehow I got 10k credits..... b-day present? Anyways, Happy Birthday to me and I'm gonna be lazy all day for my day off!
