I picked up an '06 FZ1 today. :D It has a few nice goodies: Akra Carbon Slip-On, Motovation Sliders, an FE Kit, Corbin Saddles, and some kind of a genaric E-Bay looking tune box. It's got a fresh set of PR2s too. It has 22K on it, OTD for $4K with a 30 day, 50/50 warranty. It's nice to be back.

Wow. Looking at those pics, You're a lot younger than I thought you were...lol.:BLAA:

Nice bike. Is That tune box the $60 Ebay one? Be interested to know how that works.

Hope it's good to you and gives you many miles of grins:rockon::D

Thanks guys!

Well the 1125 will be put back to stock and sold. It's a great bike, very fun, whicked fast, scaple handeling but...

I'm going to shop for a dedicated track bike once the 1125 is sold. Something like what Wavex did, a 600SS bike. Ideally a 250 two stoke but this is a large financial commitment.

Simply awesome! Glad we'll see more of you on the sister site now! :D

Well Pete, looked at exactly same colour, year, model as that yesterday as a track bike here in Perth! Stock std though - great condition.

Bit more expensive - 6000kms on the clock and AUS$11,990. Bit highly priced.

Congratulations Pete! That Akrapovic has to sound sweet!

Nice! That's 3 posts today I've seen where forum members got into new bikes!

My neighbor got a Suzi C50 cruizer today and he asked if I would ride it home from the dealer. It was sort of a surrealistic piggy back ride on Sponge Bob! Really! I was apprehensive cuz the brakes, suspension, steering were really weird to me. I never want to ride one again! Hahaha!
Very nice FZ1!

Congrats Pete, and a re getting the track bike....

Will be sad to see the Buell go, i suspect?

I'll miss the capabilities of the Buell but I'll really enjoy the "civility" and reliability of the FZ. With the FZ1 I need to make it a little more sporty; lower bars, rear sets, and a couple of other bits, but I plan to keep it more on the sport/touring side of things.

Oh, and what is it with Yamaha a terrible OEM rear shocks???

Kazza you'll love it, very nice bikes!

Ironically the saleman who sold me my 6 was at this shop and sold me the 1. He really helped get me the good deal.

Glad you are back to Yamaha Pete. That looks like a great deal on that sweet looking FZ1.

Me too. This will make Yamaha number five for me, first big Yamaha too. I've always had Yamaha in my blood.

Here's the previous ones: '73 TX500, '76 RD400, '85 RZ350, '07 FZ6
