    New toy hauler

I just picked this up. Brand new 5x10 w/ ramp door. :D Picked up some tie downs from tractor supply and took apart my hitch carrier to use the rail and chock. I'll move the mounts back and center them later, but I'm moving soon so I needed all the room I can get for other stuff.

Converted my FZ6 to a cafe racer!

I just need to get it painted. If anyone is wondering the box has new front brake rotors for my truck and weighs about 70 lbs. :D

    Shark helmets?

In the last few months, I've been wanting to buy a new Shark RSI because my old one is getting banged up looking, but nobody in the states has them in stock anymore. Anybody know of US dealer that has the newer models (or any for that matter)? I'm looking for the Xena or the Thetys

    Her name is Autumn.

I got tired of updating the bad news thread, so here's a new one. My bike is nearing completion. I just got the bodywork back from the paint shop, and they did a great job. Paint code is Ford UY "Molten Orange" taken from the Raptor. It's a red-orange base with a gold pearl topcoat. Link...

    How to secure parking sticker

Since my bike has been down, my apartments started requiring parking stickers on the front of the rear view mirror on cages. There's quite a few illegitimate people living here who'd like to park closer, so I'm pretty sure the sticker would get stolen on the first night if I left it on the bike...

    What wheels fit?

I'm trying to hunt down a new front wheel for my bike, but I'm trying to expand my options by find other models that share the same wheel. Will any of the year models of the R6 fit the FZ fork without having to have spacers made?

    Worst Thanksgiving ever.

Worst thanksgiving - Now rebuilding While I was riding to work in the rain on the 25th, my front tire found a nice big oily patch right at the moment I needed to stop for a traffic light that has a notoriously short yellow and a camera. The bike lowsided and slid about 50' and came to a sudden...

    Brake line mounting?

For those of you that have upgraded your front brake lines, how did you secure them? The stock points are designed to hold the stock single brake line, but it doesn't really work with dual lines. Any pics or ideas of how to route them better?

    SMC-600 Bike Carrier

I got a 99# package in the mail today. It was my new bike carrier from discountramps.com. While building it, I had a couple of pet peeves, but nothing major. When attaching the ramp frame to the trapezoid braces, it does not specify which direction to put it in. I found out later the holes...

    Took the MSRC.

I just got home from completing the MSF Sportbike Riders Course. For those who have taken the Experienced Course, it seems more like a scooter course in comparison. They really stress severe lean angles in all the exercises. I went from having a brand spanking new Pilot Road 2 in the rear...

    Lube your throttle tube.

My throttle has gradually been getting harder to turn, and I finally started looking into it when it got slow in snapping back on release. I found that after putting on the FZ1 bar and Rizoma grips, I forgot to lube where the throttle tube slides over the bar. After a bit of work with...

The REAL way to clean your wheels.

In the bath tub! I'm trying to find a slow leak in my back wheel, and I didn't have a bucket big enough. :D

    Tps, grrrrrr!

Since I bought the bike, I've always wondered if the TPS recall had been taken care of on my bike. I just found out today while in the middle of a 660 mile trip. :Flip...

..and it has a great view out my bedroom window. :D

    In memory of Cooper.

In memory of my friend, Colin Cooper, that died in a motorcycle accident back in September, I designed and had cut a decal with his catch phrase. I finally got the finished product in today. I'm giving them to his close friends in the squadron, family members, and anyone in the squadron who...

    Bike tear down

I'm think about completely stripping the bike down and painting all the hard parts a different color. Are there any specialty tools needed to do this?

How do you guys do it?

I went for a good 60 mile ride and picked up some things along the way, and the temperature dropped from 36 to 30F along the way. My arms and legs were fine, but I was wearing 2 pairs of socks under my boots and insulated gloves with liners and I'm still working on getting the feeling back in...

    FZ1 Bar Done!

I bought a 2008 FZ1 handlebar from Stadium Yamaha and put it on yesterday. I must say it's a way more natural position for people with long arms. I always got sore on long rides with the stock bar because it forces my wrists to turn inward so much. It definitely helps with the streetfighter look...

    Need ball warmers.

I'm taking the Experienced MSF course right now, and damn 45 degrees is much colder when you're standing around for a long time. At least it's fun making all the cruiser riders look silly when you do the turns in the smallest box on the first try. :D

    Getting more naked...

I'm almost finished with the naked conversion on the bike. I finished rebuilding the wiring harness last week, so all I have left is building a bracket for the speedo, replacing the broken mirror, replacing the crankcase cover, and making another fender eliminator for some new turn signals I...
