I'm trying to hunt down a new front wheel for my bike, but I'm trying to expand my options by find other models that share the same wheel. Will any of the year models of the R6 fit the FZ fork without having to have spacers made?

There are a multitude of Yamaha wheels that are interchangeable: Many years of the R6 & R6S (2003-2009), and all years of the FZ (2003-2009) will fit. You may want to check out OSO2K's unofficial compatibility chart as well:http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-mods/3438-unofficial-fz6-compatibility-chart.html The only issue you may run into is the color. Your stats say that you have an 05', so I am assuming that your wheels are gray. The majority of the R6 wheels are black as are the newer models of the FZ.

the only difference i've seen in Fz6 wheels and all of yamahas sport bikes is the brake rotors....which are farely easy to R&R with an impact screwdriver that you can put an allen head socket on and a good hammer...
