Congratulations Eric! You mentioned something to me a while back about wanting to become a grandpa... well now you're getting your wish!
I think you're going to love it! My parents do; they get all the fun and none of the hassles of having little ones. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that sums it up nicely - "I should have had my grandkids first".

I've seen that one too! I'm sure the child, being the first Grandkid, will be utterly spoiled! Heck, my daughter is constantly spoiled as it is.
The two boys still have no interest in kids so Briana is my only salvation for a grandchild. I did mention it but I think I said I wanted to hit 45 first. She's cut it too close!

I've got the feeling that I may have been the youngest I was just ending my 39th year when my granddaughter was born, she's 6 this year.
The minute my grandaughter could switch on a furby, she got the loudest one possible, the second she knew what a metal drum was I got her one. Taught my daughter that perhaps all those years ago she should have been quieter in the mornings on weekends..... took some years but revenge is so sweet :rockon:
Really good to have a grandchild.... take her out buy her stuff that her mother won't let her have, watch Ice-Age and not have to make excuses, but best of all you can hand them back when they get tired and grumpy

Thus far, you are the winner! I am glad she waited as long as she did but this one was even a surprise for her. She wanted another 3 to 4 yrs but there's nothing she can do about it now!
You sound just like me though! BTW, I have all those DVDs already! I don't make excuses, I LOVE those movies! Thus, revenge will be mine as well! I'm hoping for a boy but if it's a girl, I'll just sway her toward a tom-boy style when she's with Grampy!
