You should check into black powder coating the triple clamp...I've seen it done with good results.

I did this, and your right it looks great, in fact, a thousand times better, and it doesnt get scratched, or stained by your keys, like the bare metal finish on the FZ6 top clamp....cheap too...about $20!

I can't believe how easy they were to install. Not much help from Mike needed at all - I'm getting better at this mechanical stuff :thumbup:

I will post about my first ride with the Rizomas and Pazzos at the weekend - I can't wait - I have been ill the last week and unable to ride - I am hanging out

a word of warning, getting the top triple clamp off is fun!!!! NOT! There is a sealed security nut on the base of the ignition barrel, you have to drill it out to remove the ignition barrel from the triple clamp, to get the powdercoating done!

Here's how mine looked when done.....

Notice the 2 "security" bolts i am talking about in the 1st photo...

Thanks - I've been sick and haven't tested her yet but Mike rode her and says it feels much more comfortable with the new bars already!

I bought the bars, grips and ends from cjmoto.com - free worldwide delivery.
Pazzos were form bikegearwarehouse in Aus.

There is definitely a difference to the bars - probably just the photos I took that didn't show the difference enough.

Bars were US$78.

The handlebars and grips are pretty good, but, to be honest, the grips for long distances (I did 1000km in one day last year ) my right wrist did get slow. I honestly can't say though if a different grip would have helped or whether it was the fact I did 1000km in one day.

I have a weak right wrist anyway so it's a bit hard to be objective.

When Mike rides my bike, he complains about the grips - says they are too skinny and they hurt his wrist. He usually rides an XJR1300 and he has Oxford heated grips on it, so a thicker rubber than mine.

JMO - I can't see an aluminum stalk doing much to insulate you from the vibes. But they LOOK nice!
I put some Spyder grips on mine. Very happy! Plus they are larger in OD than the stock grips so my fingers don't overlap. . .

I approve of the Rizoma bar, grips, and pazzo levers for obvious reasons.

as I've said in other threads, for ppl with very large hands the rizomas are great compared to stock since they eliminate the raised rubber lip that I had digging into my (size 11-12(xl-xxl)) hands. vibes wise not much difference unless you include the very nice rizoma bar ends that do increase vibes slightly (I've had no probs/numbness riding 3-400 kms at a time).

ps: oh and sawblade: such an effing beautiful bike.

I don't have big hands. I have little girlie hands. Mike has big hands. He HATES the Rizoma grips - says they are too skinny and not comfortable
