2 days after getting my 07, I painted the headlight covers. I thought it was just too much red and needed something to break it up. I painted those and the inside of my windshield satin black. Now the 08's have black headlight covers... Dicks.

Puig figured that out a long time ago....

that Puig looks great, i hated the stock windscreen on the older design. But that makes it look sexy

The only two features of my 06 FZ6 that I didn't like were the OEM clear windshield and the OEM exhaust with the plastic covers. Installing a Puig light smoke racing shield and Scorpions fixed that.

Well, the "headlight surround (England)" used to be called a "headlight door" (US & Canada), but now it's called a "headlight bezel" or "headlight garnish". (everywhere).

That puig does look alot better than oem. I took my cowling off for the naked conversion currently taking place. Trying to get rid of all the plastic that I can. I promise to post a picture as soon as I can. Thanks for the correction on its name-I really didn't know what the hell to call it. Bezel works for me.

It is just dull flat black plastic where i figure a gloss painted black (like on the puig bike) would look better.

Thats funny you say that because i never liked the shiny black plastic look. Really I dont like plastic at all but thought the matte finish was better. Its also funny that you want to paint them blue to match. Diversity is awesome.

How do you get the bezel's off for painting anyway? This thread sparked my interest, and I went out to look at mine...couldn't quite tell how they come off. I would really like to see pictures of auto's bike...sounds like a cool mod.
