The "Off Topic" thread...

Ahh crap Stu sorry to hear mate , stupid hail :spank: :spank: No other damage to property I hope & they tomorrows storms will be worse

How big were the stones that hit you ??

Mrs Disco was saying they were the size of golf balls. The only panels that didnt get hit were the left doors. She was less than 5 mins from home to!

There are only a couple of big dings, so here's hoping they will fix it & not write it off. I love my Berlina, well not as much as my bikes but I still like my big comfy car

Went shopping today.

Bought one of these :spank: Hopefully pick it up @28th of this month..... Great deal, leather seats, new series II motor ..... and it's for Michael :( I've now got the Omega sedan..... The Berlina International sportwagon was actually cheaper than a brand new Omega sportswagon :D

National - Latest Offers - Holden. Go better.

Big cheerio to Stumbles for his advice

Lol! Love the pic Humpy....nice to see that treadmill in the background is standing on it's side! For a second there i thought you had turned fitness freak on us!

Thanks again for picking up the lovely piece of plastic! Found the doo-daa to mount it this arvo...from Pinky, thanks for reminding me i had that...

Can get a new headlight unit for $100 in the states...

Might even see if i can find one of those super duper screens for touring...

This will be interesting, i know nothing about FZ6S specific stuff!

Oh hang on, nice looking gloves Humpy, do they plastic reinforcement under that material, on the knuckles???

Only Kevlar inserts for the knuckles but they have full leather palm.... Lightweight , cool & ULTRA comfy  At the end of the day they are only a summer commuting glove , if I go for a sportier ride then I go back to the far tougher full leather , carbon fibre knuckled Dririders

Ohh yeah & the tread mill , it was used this morning & again tomorrow morning :D Im trying hard to gain a few more horsepower ;)

Lol! Do the lil' Fizzer's have ya worried? hey Mr Humpy! :D

Is all good! on the fitness kick myself, in fact tonight, got my pushbike out and gave it a real birthday...have bought someone else a pushie for Xmas, so we can all go for rides together...

Re the gloves...i am in the market for similar, at some point, my present set of "commuter" gloves are trashed!

Yea all my gloves have holes appearing in the fingertips, its really really annoying, those look quite good.
I don't do hugely spirited riding, so how would you rate them for a commuter/casual rider?

Im off to our gear thread to do a review on the gloves right now

Im sorry to say but , my wet weather gear cant take anymore wet weather :spank:... It is pouring down out there & no sign of easing over the next week so it is going to be very interesting over the next few days flood wise :(

Just got home & im guessing the Ipswich motorway will be closed before midnight because I just rode through 10 - 12 inches of flood water on it :D How do I know it was that deep ?? Because it was flowing over the top of my boots & filling them :BLAA:

So here I am wringing wet & grinning from ear to ear  I love being a pure motorcyclist

I remember from my days in that neck of the woods, the regular overflowing of bridges, for example the Bridges over the Bremer river.

I think it was the Bremer river that was between Amberley and Rosewood as well, making the bus trip out to high school for a lot of folks impossible at times:cheer:.

I never saw the David Trumpy Bridge??? covered back in 1974, but I saw it threatened a number of times. It is so far above the normal level, and it is so wide, you'd never think it would fill up:eek:...lol.

All that rainfall, and so little of it gets down river to us poor desert dwellers:(.

Lol! What a fine figure you "cut" in your wet weather gear Humpy! Lol!

The weather sounds a bit hardcore up there....still! What ever happened to sunny one day, perfect the next???

:(
