I have some spare bars with ends if ya need em :thumbup:
The bars were straight, but the scratched Bar end is still on there, nothing wrong with it, just a weenie little scratch on the end, with some nice yellow crapark paint in it!
I should of replaced it myself, as i have spare OEM bar ends that are not scraped, but i forgot! Was focussing on the fact that the bike was not bent, just a bit twisted...like it's owner!
Bike is straight now, but as for JayJay....
Gonna try and go for a ride tomorrow on the Silver FZ6....will be just shy of 7 full days since i got smacked about! My wrists are still a bit sore, but each day i have been able to do more and more with them, and have been!
Just itching to get back out on the road...
My only real reservation is that the bike now has those "squeaky" 3 year old OEM tyres on the bike....they are as hard as rocks...maybe i will just run them at lower pressure, and hope for the best! definitely wont be riding hard...

Hmmmm....well it's raining! Hope it's just morning showers, and clears up in the Afternoon, cause i am ready to strap the wrists, and get riding!

I certainly wouldn't be keen to get out on semi dry roads with those BT020 abominations on there. I also reckon you're being a tad generous....I reckon Freddy Flinstone would hate those freaking things too:BLAA:
Yeah, and everytime it stops raining, and it sorta drys out a bit...it rains again! Tomorrow!

Well i did it, got back on the bike tonight, and rode to work, then went for a gentle blat up in the hills on the way home...i felt fine on the bike, hands are still very sore off the bike, but using the clutch, and front brake proved no real issue in gentle cruise mode!
Those tyres gave me a couple of little slips, when i first put them on their side's a bit! but in the end, they were ok...but i dont think i would of liked to push them at all!
Most important thing is, i am back on the bike! Wooooohooooo!

Its been a bit more quiet recently, less stuff to stop lurking and start posting about.
We should start an oil thread in the American section.
BTW my fiancee just put her scooter in for a major service, they charged 480$ and apparently fixed the ignition issue. Ignition stopped working totally after they touched it, and they just charged her 280$ to fix it.....
I'm going to contact Aprilia and complain about their 'licensed repairer' or whatever they call them, because they were terrible and to be honest the desk staff seemed to know nothing, the mechanics where nowhere to be found, and the ignition relay cost $200, despite them saying it was a design flaw that caused the failure.
When I get ripped off, when I walk into the shop they should know who you are, which bike/scooter is yours and be godamn bloody friendly.
Not tell you "I can only tell you what the mechanic wrote on your BILL"

Time to get busy with consumer affairs i say...that's crap, a crap attittude, and a bunch of crap excuses...not good enough! Bloody bike shops, treat you like an idiot, rip you off, and expect you to take it! Dont!
Them admitting it is a "design flaw" is enough to go them with IMHO....

Btw contacted Aprilia Australia, they said the part should have cost 45$ and the problem in question isn't one that is an issue with newer Aprilias. Considering we got charged $200 just for the part I'm definately going to be complaining about this 'accredited' Aprilia repairer, and with consumer affairs.

I think a lot of us have had something like this happen to them...dodgy as! Did you tell Aprillia what happened?
