We managed to find a nice warm place to camp down around 2,500 feet just as nightfall was upon us.

Some day I will!!!

+1

Don't buy a KLR.
Save your loonies and buy something better....
KTM, BMW, Triumph 800xc, Super Tenere

Must be awesome having that many loonies to go from a 1998 KLR to a 2011 Super Tenere haha.

Maybe an old ktm enduro or something who knows. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Planning for things makes my head hurt.

Right now all loonies are ear-marked for getting me underway for racing next year. Won't be buying anything this next season anyway. Most likely it'll be for 2013 riding season.

Haha now there's an idea!

FZ6-Forum stickers all over my FZ6.

and I am already committed. Taking the race licensing school in April. Round 1 is in late May I think.

Wanted to do a road trip and decided to use the FZ for the track.

I've been hitting the gym alot this season and am really digging the super aggressive layout. As long as I'm not touring, this thing is juuuuust right.

:D

Lone I'm poking around local dealerships again, and came across an '07 in burgundy, with less than 5,000 miles on it. Verrrrry pretty bike. It's on consignment; spotless. Power commander.

If the clip ons were about 2" higher, I'd give this one a serious look. They're asking for around 7K for the thing.

I'd be looking at 40 mile commutes during the week, and very light back road scratching on the occasional weekend ride...... this is probably too focused for what I really need, but it felt good. Light, compact, pegs didn't feel out of place.

I've ridden a CBR919rr, a CBR954rr, a ZX11 (waaaayyyy back in the day, 1991 C or D model). I know it's a very powerful bike. How prone to wheelies is it?

The power comes in late and it pulls out of any gear. So as long as you're not in first you can still have a lot of leeway with throttle inputs (albeit you still can't be a numbwit lol).

You can get things to raise the clip ons.

The thing makes you tingle every time you ride it. It is a stupendously amazing motorcycle.

Buy it already.

What kind of MPG are you seeing? Liters per kilometer works, I can figure it out.

Hmm. Not sure. If the weather stays nice and it doesn't snow too much this week I'll be able to get through another tank of gas. I'll check and see.

But you do go through a tank pretty quick......especially when you're having a bit of fun. :p

I just stumbled upon this one...
(And may be, just may be... the real reason why lonesoldier84 sold the gs ..jk)
