YOu should have got a 690 Enduro and not that flacid GS650...no wonder you got bored.

Maybe but I really quite liked the peaceful easy miles and it was the engine being so flat which made that work. But I did get bored after a while and that was definitely a motivator. But it'd be nice to have both options in the garage.

Lone just be honest dude ...

admit that you are complete afraid of meeting another beer of some other big creature, with the R1 you have the excuse for not going off road :BLAA::D

...............

In the other hand what a sexy black beast man, congratulations and enjoy it a lot, looking forward for your track videos

Haha man I'm not gonna lie bears definitely make those alpine miles not fun I just stress constantly. In the future if I do another solo adventure I'm going to stick to non-bear-inhabited areas like desert/canyons/tundra type stuff. Unless I get a shotgun. Then it's on!!!

I want to know how he makes all his money.

I look great in heels. 'nuff said? Haha

But the numbers for those that are curious:

Sold GS for $6800.
Bought '05 R1 for $5400 had 21,000km scratches on swingarm but otherwise great shape with HIDs, screen, integrated smoked taillight, shorty levers.

So you don't have the FZ6 anymore and are already on your 3rd bike since?

You go through women the same way? ;)

Great looking bike Lone! You did not look that comfortable on the dual sport bike. Just a little cramped. Hopefully we can ride again together some day. Enjoy the new toy!

Hey thanks man. Yeah the GS was just a tiny bit cramped. It wasn't that bad though I could definitely have fixed that with a couple mods like seat/bar risers/lowered pegs. It was a great solo tourer but in the end I would feel a lot better on an 800cc GS which is what I am saving for now. I'll be looking for a used one in a couple years maybe. I don't know. I never think that far ahead haha. I just see something shiny and get distracted. Attention span of a gerbil haha.

Yeah for sure man. Only thing is I am not assigning any of my bike budget to another bike until I get at least halfway through next season. Racing is going to be costly I just don't know HOW costly yet haha.

That'd be so sweet.

You'd get a lot more comfortable in the rough, slippery, wet stuff pretty quickly compared to the lumbering and expensive 800 you don't want to crash haha.

Dude too funny, I'm looking at an '05 WR450F tomorrow. You can buy "street-legal" kits for them.

There are trails about 2 miles from my house.

Get a used KTM 530. Otherwise you will sell the Yami in a year and get the KTM anyway...I know you my friend. You will dump money trying to turn the Yami into the KTM...but it will never be. Go orange!

We managed to find a nice warm place to camp down around 2,500 feet just as nightfall was upon us.

:(

That's a beautiful area from the looks of it.

I'm going to miss my GS. Might have to hurry along and buy an old abused KLR. :)
