i got some clear sheets with my saddlebags for protecting the side pods from scratching up. i havent done it yet, but i will be making a belt pad from one of them.

I thought I'd throw this in there just to give you another option. The TankSlapper is a clear film that protects the tank and the sides where your knees rub. I had it on my FZ6 and on my FZ1. And you keep a nice clean look this way....
