OK - so I charmed my local Triumph dealer into letting me test drive a brand new Street Triple R demo. Less than 100 miles on it and wasn't going to let anyone ride it until it had 100 miles on it for break in or without a salesman escort. Well, they couldn't resist me especially since I showed up in my new leathers. I took it for a spin with just my friend on her Gizzer. Very fun. Amazing flickability (is that a word?). I was a good girl and didn't rev it over 7K. Weird at first because of the upright seating and no fairing or windscreen. Even my FZ6 seemed like it had clip-ons compared to this machine. I didn't miss fairings or windscreen until I got up onto the freeway. At 70 mph, my helmet was pressed back into my face. The shifting was amazing. I'm seriously considering it. The hubby contacted the Craigslist ad previous mentioned in this thread but no reply so far. Blue Book says $6500. It's worth a little bit more to me because in Nevada we don't pay sales tax on private party purchases (oh yeah!) and no dealer prep crap, blah, blah, blah either.
Oh, did I mention that I did this when the hubby was on a ride with his buddies. He knew I was going for a ride with my friend, but not about the test ride. Hahahahaha. Silly boys, girls can have fun too....:cheer:
