i'm on tour right now.

right now though i need a good shop to replace my rear tire near seattle.
anyone with a good recc please?
i'm using michelin pilot road 2.

If you go another 160 miles south to Portland, there is no sales tax in Oregon. But just north of Portland is Vancouver Wa, Pro Caliber Motorsports is where I got my tires replaced during my roadtrip They sell all tires at 10% above cost. I could have gotten a set of 2Ct's for under $200 if the had them in stock. It's $34.95 to remove and install each tire. I settled for Pilot Pures.

They are open 7 days a week. Ask for Wayne.

i started out with brand new tires.
i have about 3 days worth of tread left.
this is a minor emergency.

i will give them a call. hopefully they have room to service my bike and i dont have to wait long.
the closer to the usa/canadian border i change my tires, the better off i'll be.

maybe i'll post another thread for yammie dealerships in british columbia.

i'm going to try to make it to pro caliber motorsports.
i'll keep it under 80mph and slow the accel on the throttle.

Bought my 09 at pro caliber. Haven't used their service department yet, but sales and parts staff are excellent. Hopefully service is as good.

well im at pro caliber. they were able to squeeze us in.
they didnt have the front we wanted so i called cycle gear.
they said they had our fronts in stock. so we dropped our bikes off at pro caliber and walked to cycle gear. we got our fronts and were walking back to pro caliber when i noticed that they were the wrong size! wtf!?
we walked back to return them. i specifically told them the size over the phone. they said they had it. those jerks at cycle gear. i've been walking so much in my riding boots, my feet hurt!!!!
i went ahead and got the front and rear avon storm st at pro caliber.
how many miles do you think i can get out of them? mostly warm weather. i am 150lbs + 60 lbs of gear. interstate riding. tire pressure 36/42 psi.

big thumbs up for pro caliber. im chilling in their lounge now.
btw i had 8200 miles on the michelin pr2's. they got me through hell in alaska and the yukon. these are the roads that the bmw riders get knobbies for. even the paved roads slice through tires like butter. i was loaded down with luggage too. pr2's ftmfw......
