I've done it. Buying an R1!!!!

So after selling the FZ6 I had one objective in mind. R1. I spent ages trawling ebay, MCN, Autotrader. Finally went to see one in Andover on Monday lunchtime. And she's a beauty. Agreed a price, shook hands and I'm picking her up Saturday. With no extra budget over what I sold the FZ6 for I had to go for an early model. This one is red, year 2000, 10,000 miles (that's 8000 less than my FZ6 had), no rust, no marks, no anything - it's in showroom condition, full history, recent service including valves. Absolutely mint. It's got a Micron exhaust and a double bubble screen.

I am so excited. 3 sleeps 'til Saturday! I don't have a picture of the actual bike but here's an identical one
