I just completed 7 straight days of Classroom and Range excercises, as well as a bunch of precourse assignments totalling about 130 hrs to become certified by the Nevada Department of Public Safety as a Motorcycle Safety Instructor.
There was a total of eight at the beginning of the class, in which you had to pass a skills test in order to continue. 3 failed but were allowed to continue and retake it again in a couple of days. One student quit, and another failed the written test in which you cannot retake.
There was a woman that I noticed who had excellent riding skill out on the range, turned out she was a retired motorpatrol officer for LAPD. ( Los Angelos Police Dept. )
Oh by the way, you don't get to use your own bikes, you use the small motorcycles that are provided by the state, usually a 250cc bike. LOL..
