I came face to face with a Monster today!

I took some friends out to the track to watch the motorcycle races, and Ducati was out with about 15 bikes, offering test rides!!
I rode a silver Monster 1100. It was FUN to try out something different, since the FZ6 is my first (and only) bike. But ultimately, it made me really appreciate my baby!! :cheer:

I only get to "share" his XJR - if I am with him. I don't share his "Speed Triple".....

I "got" my wife a monster instead of her ninja 250. It's much more nimble than our FZ6, but overall the fz6 is more versatile. I like having both...

I was fortunate enough to get to ride a few Ducati's at the conference.....although I loved the handling of the them (along with the Buell) there's just wasn't enough wind protection for me
But it's SOOO much fun to ride something different, isn't it?!?!? :cheer:

I love the new Ducati monsters, very nice bike's, and so tiny, especially the smaller engined varieties...

i almost got a monster as my first bike, my training school had an awesome one for sale that sounded incredible

maintanence costs put me off a bit though

(As the control rider I got to take out the street fighter, monster and 848!)

I have to say, the smaller monster (696?) I was really disappointed in the performace.

Yes, that was me in the ears! And my friend borrowed my helmet, too, so she could test ride (as hers wasn't a full face one). Sorry I didn't know you were a control rider. Did you like any of the other bikes?
