Rode down Montezuma into Anza Borrego Desert. Couldn't ask for a nicer day.

Here's a picture. I think you'll be able to see the Salton Sea as a thin blue line near the horizon.:Sport:

Love that area! I normally head down Banner to S2, or 76 to 79. I have yet to ride Montezuma for some strange reason. Looks like this weekend will have good weather, so might try and chalk that one up too.

Yeah, Banner Grade is a fun ride. Rode up and down it about 10 time one day with some crazy group called SoCal Riders (?) It was right after it was paved and had a lot of grip. Montezuma is a really nice ride with some great see through sweepers. I've driven it so many times in a cage but on the bike it's a totally different animal. You'll love Montezuma...Rode Old Julain Road today on the way out and then back in. Gotta be careful with sand on Old Julian Rd. I hit a patch and was a drifter for a bit...

I'll try to gather some pics for you. I think I'll have to downsize them first.

Regardless we've always wanted to visit Australia and we feel like we'd fit right in there...
My wife and I have lived here for 22 years and it's awesome place especially if you like nature and hiking. Surprizingly there are natives here that have never ventured out to the desert.

Today had great weather up here too, so I went for a ride.
I hit the oakville grade and almost killed myself, but it was fun, and my chicken strips got smaller!

Oakville grade!!! the big thing to do in school was ride your bike down that sucker... I have'nt gone over the grade on a motorcycle yet.

I took a ride today from Dixon down to visit my grandparents in napa. I grew up there.... man how it has changed.

bwah u suck! :Flip:
It's 3 degrees celsius, or 40 degrees fahrenheit here, salt on all the roads and yesterday it even snowed for a while.
you're very lucky ;)
nice pic tho

I went to college in SD (Go Aztecs!) and used to hike Anza Borrego as much as possible, beautiful area with some stunning vistas. Hot as hell in the summers though!
Thanks for posting, I'd love to see more pics too!

Hey Drinky, have you had a chance to get out on the new bike yet? As I recall, you were just about to take delivery a couple weeks ago? I want to see some Holland pics!
