Hey oso2k - I'm going to be a cheapo and try my hand at milling these myself, do you have a detailed drawing? I went through the whole thread and must have overlooked it, cause I thought I had seen it a year ago when I was looking through.
What's the thickness and grade of the aluminum you're using? I can probably figure the rest out based on pictures and dimensions.
You could do that, but the shop is pretty cheap compared to doing it yourself one-time. My arrangement with the shop is that they own the CAD drawing and they make a batch (exclusively for me) whenever I ask for it. But it wouldn't be hard to reverse engineer. Details are in the first post/page. 6061 AL. 3/8" or 1/4" thick. The set back is about 1.75" and the rise 1.375". I'd guess that you'd need sheet of 1'x1' atleast to make the pair and that'll run you $30 (1/4") or $50 (3/8") unless you got scrap pieces of 6"x6".
