I'm kinda new to the bike, but I seem to notice a fair amount of drive train lash or slop. It's not all the time but sometimes on acceleration from first and second and sometimes when stopping quickly. The chain is adjusted and has about 1 inch of play up and down when Im off the bike and on it's side stand. If anything it might be a bit tight.

Is this typical of this bike? Some of it seems to have to do with how I take off and shift it but I never noticed it on my 06 GS 500. The bike has 4K on it.

Thanks!!:D

Yup, typical for this bike. Most noticeable when going from engine braking to rolling on the throttle. If you concentrate on being very smooth on the throttle it gets much smoother. Another approach is to drag rear brake as you twist the throttle.

OK, That's kinda what I thought. Guess I just need to change my habits a bit. Interesting, this bike seems to take a bit of effort or attention to ride it. It for sure is no GS 500!

Thanks for the feedback:thumbup:
