Hey guys, figured I should go ahead and introduce myself to the boards. I don't have a FZ6, though I am currently shopping for one or possibly a FZ1. A buddy I ride with has the FZ6 and I've taken it out a few times and it has been quite a blast. I currently ride a SV650S and normally reside over at SVRider.com. I'll be hanging out here more now though that I'm in the market for one these little four bangers.

:welcome: and that is a sweet looking SV! Love that color and the dark screen. Congrats!

Did you go to the SV rally at the Dragon this year? My good friend Joe is an SV650 owner and was there.

nice bike and welcome to the forum, My wife rides an SV650S and it is a great little bike, but my heart lies with the inline 4 as well.

Good luck with your search!

I didn't make it to the Dragon for the SV rally this year, although I did go a week later during the FZ rally. I rode a friends FZ and it kind of got me hooked. It was just so smooth and I would argue more flickable than my SV.

:welcome: You will like the fz6. I had an sv1000s before great bike. had to let it go before I met my maker way to damn fast!!!!!

I'll never go back to stock mirrors after using bar ends. Most stock ones give you a nice vibrating view of your shoulders/elbows and that doesn't do much for me. It took a couple rides to get used to them, but now I would want any other set up.

:welcome: to the forum!

Love that SV! Looks great. Never ridden one but rode my neighbors Ducati Monster and was impressed with the gearing and low end torque. Missed my FZ6 inline 4 by the time I was done with the ride.

Hi and welcome.

+1 on your bike, I like it a lot. I'm partial to the red...

I haven't spent any time on any sv forums, so I don't know what owners have to say about the bike. I've always been intrigued. The sv was on my list of bikes to look at. And then I sat on an fz.

I sat on an fz1 today at the dealer. That's an awful lot of bike. Could be fun. Could be trouble.

You've got me curious about the bar end mirrors now, too.
