So as I was doing the airbox mod, I decided to go big or go home. Might as well have some heat shielding to help lower some temps all around. (peak IAT today was 137 while sittin in traffic! :eek: )

Its simple, jack a roll of aluminum tape from you're deadbeat uncle and cover the whole airbox with it! Hopefuly tomorrow I will see some lower temps.

^^
At least you're air-Box is shielded from Aliens now! :BLAA:

So how BIG is the Hole?

SHOULD I PUT SOME ON MY HELMET TOO?????
I think I have a roll of alien helmet tape sittin next to my blinker fluid.:thumbup:

^^ ROTFL :rof::rof::rof::rof::rof:

btw my iat only got as high as 116 yesterday...

So you're saying the same conditions were present? Outside Temps, idle time, speeds traveled, traffic etc?

Did you pull the box and cover the bottom?

OK - I did my best to de-alienate this thread I so rudely ran off course! :thumbup:

lol now you get serious when you realize it works!!

yes, same route to and from work, same hot as he!! day....I did the bottom of the box and thought about doing the rubber flap like you mentioned in another thread, but with as much flexing as that thing took to get it back in there, its just not worth it.
