Japan vs Cameroon on TV right now.

Japan are going to lose... there is a Honda in the team :Flip:

EDIT.... Honda just scored!

EDIT AGAIN..... Honda's goal won the match for Japan, 1-0 against the much more fancied Indomitable Lions, surely the shock of the tournament so far!

Spain is done!

Switzerland with a huge upset. No team has ever one the World Cup after losing their first game.

I would not count them off right now, even though they have the "capability" to mess things up on every world cup.

Indeed, this was a huge upset.

Let's see how this first round ends up.

Living in France I ought to cheer on Les Bleus tonight, however as the French media have really loved showing over and over again the howler by England goalkeeper Robert Green, I am having a re-think!

England play Algeria tomorrow - I live on a street full of Algerian kebab shops and shops and am looking forward to flying my flag of St George out the window!!!! If you don't hear from me...expect the worst

PS I think Fat Les' Vindaloo is by far the best footie song - better than Three Lions on a Shirt! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_Wwi5B34pw]YouTube - Fat Les - Vindaloo [Official Video][/ame]

We got ripped off, our 3rd goal should have counted!

England and the US could end up in a tiebreaker draw if we end up with the same results, goals scored included.

Damn right we got ripped off, Vegas! That was complete BS and the fact that the referee doesn't have to say who the foul was on is crap! Watch now as he hides behind FIFA rules!

That being said, I was proud of our boys for responding after such an utterly AWFUL first half! WTF? Guys...seriously, would you come out of the locker room ready to play and stop giving up goals early???

Of course, it could've been worse. We could've played as bad as England...LMAO. What a gift they've given us! Now we control our own destiny...win on Wednesday vs. Algeria and we move on to the round of 16!

USA...USA...USA!!! :america::america::america:

I was traveling today and only was able to hear updates of the game on the radio.

From the replays it hurts that the third goal (the win) was taken away.
Great effort for the comeback. Next time avoid getting into such a whole!!!!

I watched the Slovenia/USA game on a Spanish channel (no cable) and was somewhat frustrated that I didn't understand too much. But, I clearly heard "GOL!" right before the end and thought that we had WON only to see it negated. Whaaa? Oh well, at least our team turned things around after the disasterous first half. How come none of the US over-the-air broadcast channels carried this game? I don't get it. Was this not important enough? They even repeat aired the game on Telemundo. What am I supposed to do: go out and pay for cable service just so I can watch the game in English while at home?

That was a much better performance by Australia.

Luke Wiltshire needs to be shot for that piss poor effort when unmarked in front of goal.

Not sure I entirely agree with the Jewel being red carded. My feelings it was not handball, at worst accidental & play on.
