Yes it is ear splittinly loud when you're riding it for more than half an hour. This is my first motorcycle I just got my license last week I was kind of hoping just to use this as a cheap learning bike and then upgrade in a few months so I really didn't want to spend $500 on a new exhaust

I thought the same but honestly, I love this bike! It's great on my back and fun causing chaos on little streets and twisting the throttle on the highway. It's most definitely a perfect fit for me!

+100 ^^^^

I've owned MANY bikes over my lifetime, and the FZ6 is by far my favorite...

*I originally bought mine wrecked, as a "beater". I fell in love with it, replaced/modded to like new condition
and sold my FJR G0ldwing, KLR and JUST kept the FZ..

I was checking out you tube videos and the leo Vince system seems to sound the best to me at least from the videos.

I love my SS Scorps. NO re-packing-EVER, limited lifetime warranty.

Nice low growl until you get on it, then it'll scream...
That is nice - had a Mivv Titanium Sportline on my previous bike and it needed repacking every ~10k kilometers + it was riveted which is always super extra convenient (drill baby, drill) XD

Have any of you guys done a straight pipe from the headers to the factory exhaust I wonder how that would be for noise level? Or quality of sound

Post #9.... from: Final Impact build thread
More tweaking..... $6.00 midpipe with a shine. Almost looks HD compatible! lol
Even with Two Bro 005-P1X tips in, it sure wakes up the Two Bro pipes.... A nice Crisp Sound now!

Weight reduction in progress. Perk is throttle response. 10min of TIG work and 30min to polish...

Old midpipe comes out w/out major disassembly!

Ever wonder about those strange burning smellls? A new drain hole was created!

It adds some tone but its not any louder as velocity out the stock muff is too restricted.

So those scorpion cans sound pretty great too. What does the new kit come with. And knowing the current condition of my bike what all do I need to buy to install the Scorpion setup

Depending on how that "tip" is attached, that has to be removed.

If it's buggered up(welded), you may be able to grind away the slag/etc if you have a grinder and a bit of patience..
IE, the stock mid-pipe end needs to be nice and not altered.

You may just replace the mid pipe/CAT with another used mid pipe.

Other than that, it's a bolt on install...

*IMO, should you have to replace the mid pipe, I would KEEP the CAT. W/O the CAT
you get more flow and there have been instances of a loping idle (not bad) which I don't
personally care for.

Here's a video I made awhile ago documenting voltages but you can hear the Scorps
(low RPM's)and take note of the smooth idle, cold start (Scorps are OPEN):

I have an 07 Mid-pipe and Muffler located in Charlotte, NC.
Since you need mid-pipe, I thought it wouldn't fit and I didn't mention it.

Like you said, the mid pipe I believe is different.

(We don't know if he was able to save it or not, no updates)...

That'd be easy enough to find (mid pipe).
Shipping a stock muffler far would get expensive. And that's way more than half the battle as someone hacked up his big time...
