    What cover do you use?

I am about to replace my second Dowco Weatherall Plus cover because the weatherproofing tape failed. Not sure if they will replace the second one under the lifetime warranty, but even if they offer, I want to see what the FZ6 community at large uses as an outdoor cover. I have heard good...

    Valve cover installation?

I was finishing up the valve adjustment on my 2005 FZ6 and I've run into a bit of a problem... I can't for the life of me get the valve cover seated on! It almost gets on but ends up off angled hitting the right side of the frame by the chain cover. Any advice on getting in back on?

Scrapping '04 engine - make requests if you want anything

As stated in title. I'm getting rid of my old 2004 FZ6 engine with about 45k miles on it. Will pull small pieces off and ship if anyone wants them. Just make me a reasonable offer to cover shipping and my time.

Extract bolt from camshaft cap? As bad as it sounds...

This is what happens when you use a cheap torque wrench: In case you can't tell, that is a valve cover bolt stripped off deep inside. My torque wrench didn't click, and I wasn't intelligent enough to stop tightening the bolt. I don't know whether I should attempt to drill it out...

New clutch - Not enough spring-action.

New clutch - Not enough spring-action... SOLVED! Installed a new clutch (a set with compression springs, friction plates and clutch plates). The whole operation was quite easy except refitting the clutch cover onto the pull rod. I followed the steps of the "2004 Service Manual" (around page...

I was going down the street not too fast but probably faster than I should have being that there was snow on both sides of the road. The road itself was clear and as it was two blocks from my house I had been down the same road multiple times today and all was ok those times so I guess I was...

Do I need a gasket sealant for crankcase cover replacement?

I'm going to be replacing the crankcase cover on my 2009 FZ6, but was unsure about whether or not I need to use any sort of gasket sealant when I put the new one on. I got a new gasket along with the new cover, but I couldn't find any information on if it's a rubber gasket, silicone, etc...

    Oil leak.....please check my logic

.... so in the off-season, I undertook a needed valve adjustment. It was detailed and slow going, but everything seemed to go as planned......until it came time to reinstall the valve cover. The new gasket was fighting me to stay flat against the valve cover, so I smeared a little RTV on the...
