When you get the tire changed ask to look at the old tire and poke a knife through to see how thin the tire was that you rode on. Glad you made it, but that was a huge risk no one should even consider.
Maybe it would be a good time to consider RaceTech fork springs and 5 wt oil...
I can't believe the improvement in handling and braking with this inexpensive modification...
There is a small c-ring that slides through the D-ring in the helmet securing it to the bike. If it's not there, I wouldn't bother replacing it.
I wouldn't leave my helmet locked on my bike as you never know what someone might do to it. Carry the helmet with you; it's designed to save your...
I liked the PIAA, but I only received 10 months of service out of it... I hope the Silverstars aren't less than that??
I too would be interested in the feedback of others.
Finally did the RaceTech fork spring mod with fresh oil in the bike and in hind-site this should have been a priority mod for me long ago. I can't believe how much better the bike handles: it feels really planted in corners, handles the bumps better, on-off gas transitions are smoother no longer...
I've had a chance to ride with the PR 3s in the rain and the dry. They are very confidence inspiring in the rain as the grip is outstanding. In the dry, they are every bit as good as the PR 2. So far, I see no reason to buy the PR 2 as I don't think you're giving up anything, but gaining even...
I would suspect the battery... you will need to find out why it went down if it's only a month old- short, loose connection at the starter, or bad alternator.
I just had PR 3s installed yesterday and having a little buyer's remorse, because the Pilot Road 2s were so amazing from installation to 19,000 km later when removed. I'm not sure what to make of the failures...
Just did a coolant change on my 2007 FZ6. I won't repeat what was previously posted, but I would add a comment about removing the reservoir tank on the 2007.
I noted that when removing the reservoir tank, the two bolts were tightened with RED Loctite (either dealer prep or factory I don't...
My PIAA low beam didn't last a year, but were very nice (and expensive)... I also had the same experience with the Sylvania... I also only had a year out of the Philips in my car so I guess that's part of the cost of running those bulbs???
Personally, if I'm going to ride a motorcycle, I ride it so that I am in proper control at all times - I don't drag my feet on the ground at any speed. Not worth the risk to me. If I want to test the grip of the road, I use the rear brake and rear tire (when it is safe to do so) to get a feel...
My OEM filter is due for a change this spring. I ended up buying a BMC not because I thought it was better than anything else, but for the convenience of adding a washable filter to my spring ride preparation. I'm sure, if properly cleaned and lubed, this filter will be fine.
