Top Sellerie / Top Saddlery Seat - Black With Silver Trim

Sold - Top Sellerie / Top Saddlery Seat - Black With Silver Trim I'm selling an extra Top Sellerie seat I have. I still have one on my bike and absolutely love it. It's a huge improvement over stock. The FZ6 logo trim is a little dirty from jacket rubbing, etc. I've just never tried to clean it...

Need a radiator fan for an 07+

Got a pebble stuck in the fan which burned out the motor. Does anyone have a radiator fan assembly or just the motor? Maybe someone still has one from a bike that was being parted out. If not, know of any good resourses aside from eBay or paying full retail? Thanks guys!

Bike has been sitting for quite a long time and now won't start

There's a long story behind this, but my bike has been sitting for about a year and a half. I needed new tires and a few other things and my bike sat at the dealer for quite a while (due to several reasons and problems), and it has been sitting in my garage as well. There have been several...

Jacket color, light or dark? Share your practical thoughts on colors

So, my wife and I have been wearing black leather jackets that aren't meant for motorcycle riding, and we've finally decided to get some real gear. I'm looking to pick up this jacket for my wife... Fieldsheer Womens Corsair Jacket - RevZilla Motorsports We're trying to decide between...

Anyone with a Givi e55 or e52? Are they comfortable?

So I'm really interested in buying a Givi e55 case but wanted to know how comfortable is it for a passenger to lean against. I've read some reviews online about the optional backrest for the e55 and e52, and some have said they are uncomfortable because they lean you too far forward. Others...

Found a vacuum leak, first "major" repair ever, have a question...

So, most people here would probably not consider this a major repair, but for me (who's most advanced thing done is an oil change), it is. Here is my long and detailed story... It all started with me wanting to sync the throttle bodies. I just bought a Morgan Carbtune Pro, had it...

Japanese police motorcycle competition on dirt bikes

I've seen police doing parking lot cone training, but not off road on dirt bikes. Watch the whole video, it gets good at the end. These guys have great clutch/throttle control! ...and talk about balance. *EDIT* - So yeah, I've never watched trial videos before... I thought these guys were...

Thoughts on the Suzuki Bandit 1200 or similar bikes?

I'm looking for another bike to compliment my FZ6. Ideally, I would love a bike with a totally different feel all together. The FZ gets all its power when you rev it high... I would love a bike that has a ton of torque down low in the RPM scale. I've read this post by CanadianFZ6 -...

Bought a 2nd FZ6!!! Header pipe blueing question...

So I just bought my 2nd FZ6, a Blue 2007 FZ6 to be exact. I love the changes they made from the older ones (I also have a blue '06). I can actually see what the RPMs are in the sunlight now lol. I initially bought it as an upgrade and I was going to sell the '06, but since my wife has her...

    Why are exhausts so expensive?

Please forgive my ignorance as I am somewhat of a new rider, but I actually have several exhaust questions... 1. Yes, why are they so expensive? I've seen several used FZ6's in good condition sell for around $4,000. I've also seen exhausts (ie. carbon fiber/titanium Two Brothers) for almost...

"Yamaha really missed the mark with the FZ6"

No, no, those aren't my words... So I was at a big bike dealer by my house just looking at some of the newer bikes that have come out (looking to get another comfortable sporty ~600cc bike for my wife) and started talking to one of the salesmen. I told him what I was interested in and he...

    I bought a Honda Magna

For quite some time now I've been looking for a nice cruiser to buy. As much as I love the FZ6 I sometimes get in a cruiser mood. So my goal was to have a comfortable sport bike (the FZ is all that and more) and a comfortable cruiser. So I went into several dealers to sit and feel out all the...

Easiest way to change the oil on a motorcycle!

Here is a great tutorial on how to change the oil on a motorcycle. At the beginning he says it should take about 45 minutes, but if you follow his easy steps it shouldn't take more than 25 minutes to complete the whole job. lol ;) YouTube - How to change the oil on a motorcycle

    Poor FZ6 - Hard Stunting

YouTube - YAMAHA FZ6 Siedlemin 2008 STUNT This is just an accident waiting to happen! There is soooo little room for error here (small road... people, bikes, and car right next to his "stunts"... etc). Just crazy! I mean, don't get me wrong, I do care about the guy getting hurt too... but...

Should you weave periodically to prevent "flat" spot around rear tire?

I was recently told that I should weave in my lane periodically if I'm on a straight road for a long time to help prevent a "flat" spot around my rear tire. Weaving will help even out the wear on the tire and keep it rounded. The center of the rear tire was starting to develop a small flat...
