Hi,
My FZ6 track racer has an engine problem, which occurs when its really warm and been running for a couple of hours on the track. The Hickup occurs at approx. 7000 - 10000 rpms in 2. and 3. gear. It simply feels as if the engine cuts of gas - but then continues and revs all way fine up to...
Finally pulled myself together and invested in the GIpro X-TYPE gear indicator from HealTech.
Its now possible to buy a harness kit, which makes installation pretty simple - if I can - chances are that most of you can.
Only difficult part is to locate the crankshaft position sensor - but...
The Eggheads in the EU commision are currently working on regulations that will limit horsepower to 100 for motorcycles sold in the EU.
This is nonsense and does not improve safety at all.
How do we react on this? I'm at least reminded of the old DDR and other dictatures. Why will I have...
Hi,
Thanks to the forum I decided to tryout the FZ1 handlebars. And when I had to have it removed - I also decided to mount heated grips, and a 12V power outlet.
I installed a relay - so that It did not drain my battery - and vired it all up - hidden under the fairing.
The heat grips -...
Just recently I found an 2006 FZ6 that was light damaged from a crash - and decided to prepare it as my trackbike.
I had to do the following;
Find a new fairing
Remove all lights etc
Repair the dents
Change tires
Change suspension
new handlebars
So I found and old FZ750 top...
Need new fairing for my new trackbike (old FZ6 that I got as my 2. bike). Seems to be impossible to get a new fairing at a reasonable prise, so looked around and got two offers;
A) Top faring for a Yamaha FZ750 and B) full fairing from a GSXR-1100 (91/92).
I will probably have to work...
Hi
I know there's a lot of threads about how to lift the tank. I do however need to know how to remove the complete tank. I got me a 2. bike that I'm preparing as a track bike, but it had a ugly rusty dent in the tank.
I cleaned it, and filled it, sanded it nicely, and now need to remove...
I just recently orderd a second FZ6 - for track days only. I want to optimize it, and are planning to put on some kind of racer fairing, clip-ons and an other seat.
However those things are not adding to the performance. Will I gain something from adding a PCIII, a KN airfilter and remove the...
Sorry, for the guys not from Denmark. The Bakkens opening is a yearly event in the spring where many motorcyclists go to the opening of a Danish amusement park.
I would like to hear if we could go as a Danish group to this event....(next year)? We could agree on some gathering point on the route?
Hi
In denmark we have kind of a proverb
"If You don't wan't to learn, You will have to feel"
And I did not listen to all the guys saying not to go taller on the screen, but - as Steveindenmark suggested, cut the screen down.:spank:
So I invested in the Puig Touring screen - but...
Hi before i blame myself trying to create a poll, I would like a short description of how to create a poll? Seems like You create a normal post, and mark the checkbox that You want to create a poll. Do You then send the post indicating how many poll options You want, and then afterwards type in...
Hi
Wondering if it's possible to install a set of Leo Vince exhaust myself (slip on's) - or is it a demanding job that better should be done by the dealer?
Good initiative Steve..
I'm Torben, i live in Hørning (Thats Skanderborg) - however i grew up in Aabenraa.
I live here with my wife and my 3 kids. I work for IBM and travel a lot between Århus and Copenhagen. Mostly I drive in my car - however recently I figured it would be fun to...
Thanks for the opportunity to have a dedicated Danish section on Your site. Very much looking forward to hook up with other Danish FZ6 riders.
Hi
Am I the only one who not want's to put a a can of tyreweld under the seat. The safety instructions says somthing about 50 Celcius max. Knowing my FZ6 - its getting pretty hot underneath the seat, and the last thing I wanna entertain people on the highway with is a can of tyreweld...

BS-Motoparts Store - Tuning, Styling & Protection.
