    07 FZ6 Rear indicators

From a provisional look, it looks like the connections are just under the exhausts.

    07 FZ6 Rear indicators

Hi All, In the never ending saga that is the aftermarket parts on my FZ6, the rear, cheap, badly wired indicators have given up...again. Now these are the last after market electrical part on my bike - the others having been all removed. So the question is, how hard is it to replace the...

Heated grips heating up while off

I don't tend to feel the cold that much (even in england), so I am going for the low hassle option of taking the stupid things off completely lol.

Heated grips heating up while off

Hi, Thanks for the comments. Interestingly the grips continued to heat while the ignition was off (but were cold when I started the bike this morning)! As a result of this I hacked through the tape holding the connectors together and disconnected them so it doesn't kill my battery while I...

Heated grips heating up while off

Hi All, This morning, after some quite heavy rain last night, as I was riding I felt my Oxford heated grips starting to heat up...and continue heating... I checked the control box and everything was definitely off, and hitting the power button made the lights come on as expected. My...

How do you hang or lock your helmet?

Mine goes in a locked top box, in a locked underground garage, with CCTV and alarms...paranoid much?

    Knee down?

Unless you don't know how to position your body, then trying to take the corner faster is a baaaaad idea lol.

Rear Brake lever clicks when engaged

Hi all, I noticed something on my way home from work today and that was a mechanical click when engaging the rear brake. After a bit of fiddling around when I got home it sounds like it is coming from near the lever, rather than back at the caliper itself. The brake seems to work...

    Rear shock adjustment - how?

So point of interest for anyone in a similar situation to me. The R6 toolkit DOES work on a FZ6. The entry point for the FZ6 S2 2007 model is on the left hand side of the bike (looking from the back), just above the black box under the seat. Mine was stiff as all hell to move from the...

    Rear shock adjustment - how?

Can anyone recommend a good place to pick up the correct tool? The ones on ebay are running at about 35 GBP which seems a bit steep. I was looking at C-spanners, but the one in the video looks not quite the same. I may just have to buy an R6 to use the toolkit i have with :D Regards, Si

    Rear shock adjustment - how?

Hi, Ok so based on that video i have the wrong tool, as the R6 one is about 5x the size! Back to the drawing board... Si

    Rear shock adjustment - how?

Hi All, So I am aware of the general principle, 1-7 on the rear shock, 1 being softest and 7 being hardest. I also have the tools to do it (I think) - having bought an R6 stock toolkit. So the problem I have is I cant actually get the tool in position to turn the "wheel" (for lack of a...

    Rubbing tubing with new screen?

I recently bought and fit an airblade screen to my fz6, however it came with a long piece of rubber tubing that I can't for the life of me work out what it is for! Have I made a horrible mistake by not fitting it? What is it for? Thanks, Si

    Riding Position

So the answer to all my wishes was an Airblade double bubble screen. I now get no wind hitting me in the chest at all, and everything deflects nicely over and round my helmet. If you are 6' and having issues, then this is a godsend! Regards, Si

There are 2 kinds of people in the world...

My usual response to people who ask why I don't ride a Harley is: "If I wanted something that didn't accelerate, stop, or go round corners, I'd buy a car."
