Hi all,
I usually keep to myself, but this sounds like a great ride. I'll try to make it if I can. By the way, here's a route map (I think I got it right, assuming we go to Georgetown). I took MRR a few times, but never turned south to Stumpy Meadows Lake.

discgolfdude,
It sounds to me like there is slack in your clutch cable between the clutch lever and slave lever. There are three locations where you can adjust the slack:
1) Reposition the slave lever on a different spline on the shaft (coarse adjustment). This should be done with the cable...
Ah shoot, you're right. #26 in the diagram. Thanks for pointing that out, Killernoodle. The lever did feel like it had a bit too much vertical movement.

Hi Killernoodle,
Problem solved on my end! I took your advice in an earlier reply and disconnected both ends of the cable to check for friction. It actually felt relatively smooth except for a slight 'click' that was always in the same spot. If not for that click, I wouldn't even suspect a bad...
I actually received mine on the 3rd all the way on the West coast, hehe. Strange how that works. Needless to say, I was on the road within a half hour after picking it up. :)
I'm quite satisfied; the bike is is easier to ride at slower speeds for sure.
No worries, killer. I'm sure most of us would rather wait a few more days rather than get stuck out on the road because of a missing pin.
Besides, we've got all summer to enjoy your mod. Might as well do it once and do it right. Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress.
I ended up going to OSH and buying some snap ring pliers for around $10. Although, I haven't tried removing my stock lever yet so I can't say if they're the right size, etc.
I do when it's something I MUST have.
Yes, that's me. I included an index card with my name from both forums, Paypal transaction, and address info. Hope that's all right (I don't have a printer handy).
Hey Killer,
Very happy you posted this at this forum. I've already signed up as MattW at the other thread. Just ordered the parts. Thank you so much for taking this up again!
I've had my Fz6 for 2 years now and while I have gotten better at it, I still have problems when riding in stop/go traffic around town. I find that each time I pull the clutch in, my entire left arm tightens.
Anyway, I'm reviving this thread to mention that killernoodle (at the sportbikes fz6...
