The FZ6 "sound" is probably the worst of all motorcycles. I've heard many exhausts, side by side by mine. The M4's are by far the best, so much so, that I've put them on other I4's I've owned since. They always sound great.

what bjorn said sounds right. see the temp gauge without stop and go traffic to gauge true engine temp relative to ambient temperature. oil viscosity wont have that significant an effect, to answer your question...not that drastic.

Nothing sounds as good as M4's on this model bike. they sound best under a load though, not at parking lots or garages. you hear mostly engine from where that camera is at while riding...if you had someone behind you in a car, more people would appreciate it. i loved what it did for my fz6...

Ditto. A trip to the bay area without a trip to the other side of the Golden Gate is just a trip to the city. I've never biked up there but always wanted to.

The little opening where the air goes in, that is what I hacked open. It gave me low end and mid end torque but probably cut down my top end horsepower. It did make the exhaust sound much better, but I'm sure upset the computers fuel/air mapping. I don't recommend it...just not worth the...

it sucks that yours didn't last. I beat my fz6 pretty hard when it had my horn, took it off and never installed it on any other bike (it sat around for years) and now I have it installed on my car and still works great.

bikes aren't as fun with backpacks...I'd pay more for that! :thumbup:

It's priced ok if you ask me...they are going to be in very limited numbers. Considering how unique and custom they are, they're still not bad. Not many people remember the Norton name anyways. It's British, rare, and has a name...they could have went for more I suppose. If I'm doing...

Agree with Rumpole of the Bailey, while the FZ1 is around, the FZ8 makes no sense...even in Europe :confused: Unless they plan to develop other 800cc models. But I'm still frustrated with the lack of naked FZ6's in the U.S...would not have hesitated in 2008 when I was shopping for a SV650.

Just a reminder, you can take the horn off the compressor part and connect it with a rubber hose (like I and others did).

i doubt it...i've sent quite a few people here from other forums and the off-line world and all i got for christmas was my two front teef (which i already had) :(

Get the M4's...nothing else sounds good on a FZ6...I've heard those in real life...they sounded as gay as the rider that owned the bike.
