Used a drinking straw cut down to about 5/8" and insert under the nut. Also went with longer screws than what it came with. The straw collapses under the nut and just leave it there.
I'm 54 and my 2008 FZ6 is my one and only bike to date. My intent was to use it to learn to ride and then upgrade to a HD cruiser of some type. Just having too much fun with it to let it go. :thumbup:
I would just call the local machine shops and ask. Some may not want to do such a small job but keep looking.
Did'nt find out about RhinoMoto bar ends till well after I had the machining done. Think I would go that route next time.

I kept the stock ones and just added bar ends. Really did not care how it looked, I just wanted to have functional mirrors. Now I can see what's behind me and still admire my shoulders with the stock mirrors:thumbup:
I had my original bar ends machined so I could install bar end mirrors on them. I ordered a new set from the dealer just in case I did'nt like the setup but I am not going back. I like seeing what is behind me:D
