Hey Nimzotech, I hear you man. I have a black belt in shaolin kenpo and there are a lot of take downs in it. i never studied judo but I know the feeling of throwing around and being thrown around. i know judo is the gentle art, where as what i do , if throwing someone usually will result in something being broke off or dislocated. hehe.

College football ranks highest. Motorsports(any kind) ranks second but admittedly, I've quit watching it as much as I used to. My youngest has played sports since he was four and I've coached a variety of sports. Even though the sport weren't available to me when I was growing up, I really grew to love lacrosse and rugby. I coached 5th and 6th grade lacrosse for about 5 years. Drew started the sport then and he's now into the rugby scene again since football season is over. He loves the collision sports as much as I do, probably more, since he's young enough to heal up after playing them. Unlike me!!!.

Assoction football and boxing for me.

I used to be quite into Judo some years back but age and injuries put paid to that.

Trust me the gentle part is only the thinking part to use an opponents size strength and aggression in your favour. The actual execution of the moves can be quite brutal.
I've injured enough opponents and been injured enough to know.

Moto GP
World SBK
Any type of 2 wheeled racing apart from Drags. Boring.

Rugby League (Go the Dragons) If you ever get the chance have a look at State Of Origin Rugby League. Fast paced & brutal.

Cricket. Great way to spend the day in front of the box blowing the froth off a couple of cold ones.

The sport with the highest fatality rate, while playing the game, is lawn bowling. That's right! LAWN BOWLING.

It's because the age capacity of the game is really high and many elders die from natural causes or heat stroke while playing the game.

I will watch any motorsport.... used to watch F1 but it's been boring for the past few years...

Now I watch NASCAR, can't believe any of you from the US haven't mentioned it.

For the uninitiated I know its cars going round and round an oval for hours on end, but when you get into the strategy etc. and admire the guys driving at 190mph 4 wide that takes some skill... and guts.

The only bit I don't understand is american's infatuation with one driver... Junior!

I admit knocking around with a group can be a laugh but watching it is just like you explained, come back an hour later and you haven't missed a thing ;)

The worst thing is a lot of Dutch people who are genuinely interested ask me about the rules, now that's difficult to explain, especially between a test match and a limited innings game.
Hi Martin,
I dont even know all the rules for test cricket and consider myself a novice, thats what makes it great. The comentators tell you whats going on whilst you are at tea lol.
20/20 is the way to go for the cricket novice. 20 overs each all done in a day.

Ok guys and girls. What in the hell do you see in FOOTBALL??????? Seriously...I just don't understand what is so entertaining about football. Someone enlighten me please!!!
Well J,
There is the spectical of man against man, mind against mind and beer, well really its about beer, even better than that its about beer with your mates.

Golf comes pretty close to Elm, for the reasons that you mention + the victim is usually moles from a main road and EMS take ages to get there.

I really dont watch or follow any sports. About the closest i come to sports is stunt riding my dirtbike....if you could even consider it a sport...
