Ok, here is a pictorial review of yesterday's ride....not so much ride photo's...well none actually, but more of what we got up to when we stopped along what ended up being a 310km ride for Mikey & me at least.
It all started at the workshop at about 11am....first i turned up, followed closely by Andy (Apollo......contender for "lurker of the year" with Stumbles!), then Gazza - my business partner in the shop, thundered in on the mighty Z1000, followed quite a bit later, by the very ragged looking, and unusually late Mikey (Ozzieboy)...me thinks he had Humpy's towel on loan last night! Definitely not enough beauty sleep! No photo's...will spare you the theraopy bills! :Flip:
So at about 11.30am, the four of us ventured off down Marion rd to our first stop, Delamere Post office & General store, down past second valley...ride there was ok, weather was good, traffic was a bit heavy, and our pace was moderate.
Here we all are at Delamere...

Then after a quick visor clean, and a smoke, it was off to the "D" road to Victor Harbour, for a cleansing Ale, a bite to eat, and a general perve! :spank:
The ride down the "D" road is always entertaining, and today was no different...Gazza and Mikey cleared ouit, whilst Andy and myself maintained a slightly more conservative pace.....no traffic, but lots and lots of bugs as usual! Oh and Gazza nearly ran out of juice coming into Victor Harbour....
Anyway, once we got to Victor Harbour, there were quite a few bikes about, here's our lot , with a whole bunch of mainly cruisers, and tourers....parked out the front of Mikey's old haunt, the Crown Hotel....He told us he had "relations" in the park opposite the pub!

When we lift Victor...Gazza and Andy left Mikey & Me for the quick way back to Adelaide.
Mikey & me set off for Lobethal to meet Matty (Silverback) via Meadows, Mount Barker, and Woodside...we had a fairly spirited ride, if uneventful, which is probably a good thing with me and Mikey, as "Eventful" normally involves moving targets!
Here is a rather boring photo of Mikey chilling at Lobethal...waiting for the world's biggest hot dog, that wasnt actually a hot dog to be served to him....

Yep, his numberplate has snapped off! Yep, the MT01 vibrates so much, it has caused stress fractures in the metal number plate, leading to it dropping off unnoticed on Matt's ride to meet us at Lobethal this Afternoon! If you know Matt, this would only ever happen to Matt!
And these!

Truly the most battered pair of Alpine Star boots in History...velcro on sides is completely screwed, and in true Silverback improvisation...he fixed them the only way he knew how...the half arsed way....Lol! Duct tape to the Rescue.....Who said we are rednecks!
Well, anyway, didnt take anymore photo's past this point in the ride...but after leaving Matty to limp home with no registration disc (it was attached to his numberplate! Lol!), and no license plate....Mikey and i then played dodge the rain through the Twisties for the next hour or so....before returning to workshop for a Cordial!!!!!
No freaking beer in the fridge......Gazza!
Anyway, was a great ride, with great company, and weather was pretty decent for about 80% of the ride...
