There was some debri on the South and East grade yesterday. Par for the course. Just give each other some room and be alert. Hopefully we'll be toasting through Pally early. I'm hoping to get off on a safe patch and lurk with a camera so we can catch some memories for the riders and forum. I'm hitting the rain locker and the sack.See your bright smiles in the AM!

Epic ride today guys. Man was I feeling rusty in the corners though, it's been a while. I am exhausted and sore too. I can't imagine VegasRider's ride though, that's like 1000 miles today for him.

I will say that was the most social/relaxed/attitude-free large group I have EVER ridden with. Each of you showed maturity and class on the road and at each stop. Lunch was fantastic, weather was perfect (even Borrego Springs @108°F!!) and the pace was perfect.

I am still smiling, thanks for a great day!!

I agree, Cali. Great group and a wonderful ride. Thanks for everyone who led/swept/organized and also to all you riders. Can't wait to ride with y'all again. Let's give Vegasrider another excuse to ride 1000 miles in a day sometime soon, haha.

Thanks for caring enough to make the trip.

Also thanks all of you for a great job of being safe and awesome riders.
I never get involved in group stuff like this, let alone help get it going and really appreciate the advice and input everyone helped out with to make this such a great day. This is a great forum made up of a lot of great people.

Also a thank you to Dennis and company for keeping this forum a great medium for us to hook up and do rides like this.

Thanks Smokenu for having the idea to do this ride and for getting this started.


I don't know if all know what happened to PowellB and I during the that first run up the mountain. While a good portion of our group was already stopped at around the first turn up South Grade with a crashed Aprilia, PowellB and I were toasting up the grade and all of a sudden some guy(opposite direction) stands his bike straight up in a turn and shoots right across on front of Powell. It could have been a disaster and luckily the guy stayed to the right and road the shoulder facing us right passed me on my right. That was crazy? I had my GoPro going and you can't really see the guy crossing Powell's path but you can see him on the right of me as he rides it out on the shoulder. I won't post it tonight but I'll prolly get it on tomorrow.

Man! I really enjoyed meeting you all!

Thanks, John for your experience and input on the ride today. It really helped make it a great ride. Yeah my intake air temp said 109F in Borrego.
