*giggle* Bryan's going to love this...

Motorcycle? 1972 Honda SL-125 that I bought brand new at a Honda dealer that was located in an old house in Sebring, Florida. We brought the thing home on a set of bumper racks on the back of a 1964 1/2 Mustang. That was the longest 150 miles of my life...

Before that was a mini-cycle. A 1970 Honda CT-70 mini-trail, not unlike the one in the photo.

After the SL a looong string of mostly Japanese and a few European motocross bikes followed and they were followed by an even longer string of over the road semi's and many years of no motorcycles.

We changed all that in 1992 when a then five year old Bryan got a 1989 Honda Z50R for his birthday (ain't he cute?) and since we couldn't have the kid riding alone in the woods with-out his dear old Dad, I got a 1988 Honda XR600R for Bryan's birthday!

What has followed since these two is another loooooong line of really neat motorcycles, and I hope there are many more in our future!

Bruce

Daaaaaad! Your Embarrasing me! LOL.

My first motorcycle was my grandfathers old 1974 Honda CL 200. I found it rusting out in his garage and he said I could have it.

It was a 200 cc parallel twin, 5 speed tranny and could top out around 70 mph. Pretty sweet for a 15 year old kid:rolleyes:

This one isn't mine, but it looks exactly the same

I have wanted a motorcycle my entire life, but my Mom would never let me get one. After I turned 18 I worked on my Mom for 1yr. and finally convinced her that I could get a motorcycle. Since I had never ridden a motorcycle before I went to the MSF course first, just to make sure I would like riding a motorcycle. Well I loved it and bought my 2005 FZ6 3 days later.... So my first bike is the FZ6:

My first one was a '71 or maybe '72 Honda CL350. I put about 25K miles on it. Longest trip was from northern Ohio to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana, in the rain.

First bike was 1978 Honda XL75 that I inherited from my brother when I was 8. Rode it for 4 years and then moved into a 1986 Honda XR200. Shortly after that I had 1990 Kawi KDX200.

First street bike was the 2007 FZ6....

1981 Yamaha XS400 Special. I obtained it in 2002 from a guy I worked with. He had it in storage for about 15 years. It was in mint condition and I got it for free. When I got it I cleaned the spark plugs and replaced the fuel and to my surprise it fired up after two tries. My friend and I couldn't belive it. I checked the bike over and had to remove the mouse nest where the battery once was. I got a new battery and spark plugs and was on my way. I eventually got new tires as these were aged quite well. I had the bike for one year and sold it for $400. I wrang the nuts off this little bike trying to keep up with friends on their sportbikes. You would be surprised at how you could get it to wheelie with going up hill and dumping the clutch while yanking on the bars. Don't know if I ever had so much fun on a bike again. Just couldn't stop laughing while I was riding it.

I have since had a 2004 suzuki sv650 and now have the 2005 fz6. Oh yeah, I can't forget the 2000 jianshe js80py I got for free and rebuilt the engine with all yamaha parts. Managed to get it up to 45 mph with some exhaust restrictor removal. Also a hilarious bike. Sold it for $450. I love free stuff. :)

If you want the Ferrari of Motorcycles,- Ducati is not it ..... sure the Ducati is sweet, but its still not in the superleauge!!

If you want the best you should look at:

agu_f1_z.jpg

These baby's do 187.0 mph, - are hand build in Italy, and will set you back about 200000,- Euro/260000 US$ :).
They weigh in at only 193 Kg (425.5 lb)

(It's an MV Augusta F4 RR 1000)

Funny thing,- Augusta was recently bought by Harley :)

My first was a 1973 CL350 in orange. I got it for free, rebuilt the carbs and rode it into the ground. Then my Dad gave it away when I was in the Army.......

My fist bike, after multiple snowmobiles & 3-wheelers, was a mid-1970's Yamaha YZ80. Looked just like this Image:1977-Yamaha-YZ80D-Yellow-562-0.jpg - CycleChaos

It was too much bike for me though, esp. in all the MI sand and roots, and didn't last too long before we went back to the snowmobiles. You'd never guess it though by how much I like bikes now...I think I was just a wuss, 'cuz my kids are WAY braver than I ever thought of being! LOL.

I rode an old Suzuki like this one on the road some before I shoulda been :spank:
1977ts250.jpg

Mine didn't look nearly that nice though, with it's puke-yellow looking color, and having been in a burning barn (the reason I got it free). My bro & I had some great times on that bad boy. My manhood still feels that metal tank though! Ouch!!!

Lots of snowmobiles & dirtbikes later I get my first actual road bike, my '02 Katana. First road bike (of my own) that I was really able to get comfy with.

Mine was a Honda C70 which I found up the woods, no fairings but after a little while messing with it and removing sand a chewing gum from the rockers I got it running and had loads of fun, mind you I was only 13 when I had it but it was my first!!

First legal bike on the road was a Fantic Cabellero at the age of 16, good little bike but I was always putting pistons in it!!
